Who Are The Kansas City Parade Shooters, And Why Don’t We Know?

Last Wednesday as Kansas City Chiefs fans were gathered at a parade to celebrate their Super Bowl victory, two juveniles opened fire on the crowd wounding 22 and killing a 47-year-old local DJ and mother, Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan. Many of the victims were under 16.

The Kansas City Police Department has arrested two juveniles and charged them with gun related violations and resisting arrest. Both juveniles are currently incarcerated in a juvenile detention facility.

As with any crime involving firearms, the matter instantaneously became a political football, shuttled between Democrats and Republicans struggling for a media touchdown. But, the politicization extends beyond the implements used in causing murder and mayhem. If a favored constituency is implicated in the perpetration of violence, an unnatural hush and solemnity falls on the characteristically loud, boorish, and irreverent legacy media priesthood.

The silence is deafening for the absence of the ubiquitous din from the CNN propagandists who usually grind their barrel organs, while half of America jigs at the end of a leash.

The identities of the two juveniles involved in this shooting are being assiduously protected from the prying eyes of the public. The media, whose stock-in-trade is the salacious, and who joyfully embed with jeering crowds who shriek “crucify him” at any unfortunate soul which represents traditional American values, conservative notions, or anyone even remotely connected to the Republican Party or its constituency.

Though the identity of juveniles is generally legislatively protected, if a juvenile is to be tried as an adult, that person’s identity may be made public. The question as to whether the Kansas City shooters will be tried as adults is fairly easy to predict. Given the felonious and aggravated nature of this crime, a trial as adults is safely a forgone conclusion. Rest assured, when that day comes, legacy media interest and cameras will be conspicuously absent.

But, beyond the strictly legislative and procedural, the incuriousness of the media with regard to biometric detail is enough to make one incredulous at best. A few days ago, Ann Coulter appeared on "Real Time with Bill Maher" and said out-loud, as she often does, what most people are thinking. “They wouldn’t [the media] tell us about the transgender woman who shot up the christian school for about a year…the longer they go without telling you, it’s not a white male.”

Narrative and ideology are all that’s important to the American left. Reality, for them, is just a construct. Whimsy is enough to dispel the objective facts of gender and race when it suits them. Race is sacrosanct until it gets in the way of politics and the hegemony of the state — just as feminism has been unceremoniously tossed into the gutter in favor of the far more politically expedient and potent identity politics.

There is simply no guiding principle beyond the acquisition of power. It’s the end and the means. No one is safe from its all consuming maw. Today’s protected class is tomorrow’s cannon fodder. It’s a Ponzi scheme of power and the only people who benefit are those who stare down from an imperious pinnacle.

Yesterday two Burnsville Police Department officers were killed along with a Burnsville, Minnesota firefighter. The incident was banally described in a CNN piece and tidily dismissed with, “The suspect…has not been publicly identified and had ‘several guns and a large amount of ammunition.’” You can almost hear CNN’s reporter, Dakin Andone, gasping and fanning at the mention of guns and ammunition. Despite the attempt to distract with the specter of diabolical “guns,” the suspect has been identified, CNN just does’t want you to know.

Apparently, a small outlet, Alpha News, did what the behemoth CNN can’t — or more accurately, won’t — and broke the story on the Minnesota shooter, now identified as Shannon Cortez Gooden, a 38-year-old black male. According to Alpha News, Gooden was denied gun rights in 2020, and was reportedly wanted for a sex crime.

So much for Joe Biden’s looming terrorist threat from violent white extremists. But, race baiting has been the Democrat party’s go-to since Jim Crow.

Early on in the evolving story of the Kansas City Shooting, a Chiefs fan, Denton Loudermill, was misidentified as one of the shooters and mischaracterized as an illegal immigrant. Loudermill was handcuffed by Kansas City P.D. at the scene, but was only guilty of public intoxication and refusing to comply with police directives to vacate the crime scene. The moral of that story is, don’t conduct yourself as a drunken, disorderly buffoon and you’ll likely not have an unflattering picture circulating on social media.

Furthermore, Biden’s criminal neglect of the southern border doesn’t need yet another example of importee violence to make the moral argument against his deplorable policy any more strident.

We don’t know more about the two Kansas City Shooters, not because they’re juveniles, but because the Democrat narrative isn’t supported by yet another incident of minority violence. The truth is becoming the exclusive purview of citizen journalists, who are not beholden to the corporate interests of Democrat party donors. The truth will come out, but it’ll be late on a Friday when nobody’s looking. Then, the discredited, outdated legacy media outlets will pat themselves on the back for doing the right thing, when the time for that has long since past.
