Vice President Kamala Harris is trying to be all things to all people. After serving in an administration that cracked down on Americans earning tips and hired thousands of additional IRS agents, she claims to support a “no tax on tips” policy that was first offered by President Donald Trump.
In a campaign rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, Harris said, “it is my promise to everyone here, when I am President, we will continue our fight for working families of America…and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers.”
In response, President Trump posted on social media, “This was a TRUMP idea – She has no ideas, she can only steal from me. Remember, Kamala has proposed the LARGEST TAX INCREASE IN HISTORY – It won’t happen. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
President Trump is right, Harris has no original “ideas,” but her campaign is great at name calling. With her running mate, radical leftist Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Harris, and Democratic Party allies have been attacking GOP vice presidential candidate U.S. Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio as “weird.”
In a CNN interview, Vance highlighted the true problem with the Democratic ticket, “Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, who aren’t comfortable in their own skin because they aren’t comfortable with their policy positions for the American people, and so they’re name-calling instead of…telling the American people how they’re going to make their lives better. I think that’s weird.”
During the interview, Vance labeled Harris “a fundamentally fake person” who “should have to answer for why she presents a different set of policies to one audience and a different set of policies to another audience.”

Yet, what are the exact policies of Harris and Walz? If these candidates were comfortable with their leftwing positions, their website would offer complete details on their platform. Instead, the website includes a volunteer form, information about events, and solicitations about buying merchandise and making donations, but nothing about the critical issues facing America.
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are complete phonies. In her presidential campaign, supporters tout the Vice President’s background as a “tough” prosecutor. However, she raised money on social media for criminals who rioted in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd in the summer of 2020.
In a Facebook post on June 1, 2020, Harris asked her followers to “chip in now to the Minnesota Freedom Fund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.” Since its inception, the Minnesota Freedom Fund has posted bail for 2,978 people. This includes George Howard, who fatally shot a man in August of 2021 and Shawn Michael Tillman, who was convicted of first degree murder in 2022.
As the San Francisco District Attorney, Harris prosecuted 1,900 individuals for marijuana possession charges. Yet, in a 2019 interview on The Breakfast Club radio show, Harris admitted she used marijuana, stating, “I did inhale.”
On the show, Harris confirmed her support for the legalization of marijuana and said, “I think that it gives a lot of people joy and we need more joy.”
So, Americans need to know that Harris loves “joy,” and this is the new catchphrase that her supporters are repeating about her campaign. However, those pot smokers did not feel much “joy” when Harris prosecuted them for just using, not selling, marijuana.
Kamala’s Jamaican father, Donald J. Harris, an emeritus professor of economics at Stanford University, did not feel the “joy” when Harris joked in the interview that of course she smoked marijuana because “half my family is from Jamaica. Are you kidding me?”
Professor Harris responded with this statement to an online Jamaican website, “My dear departed grandmothers (whose extraordinary legacy I described in a recent essay on this website), as well as my deceased parents, must be turning in their grave right now to see their family’s name, reputation and proud Jamaican identity being connected, in any way, jokingly or not with the fraudulent stereotype of a pot-smoking joy seeker and in the pursuit of identity politics. Speaking for myself and my immediate Jamaican family, we wish to categorically dissociate ourselves from this travesty.”
Yes, Professor Harris, your daughter is a “travesty.” Her pandering knows no bounds. As a candidate in the 2020 Democratic presidential race, she blasted Joe Biden for his association with known segregationists in the U.S. Senate. She called his relationships “hurtful.”
Harris also criticized Biden for his opposition to school busing. In a remarkable attack during a 2019 Democratic presidential candidate debate, Harris said, “There was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bused to school every day, and that little girl was me.”
In effect, Harris called Biden a racist. Although, in 2020, she was more than happy to accept Biden’s invitation to serve as his running mate. During her tenure as Vice President, Harris often praised Biden and vouched for his mental acuity, highlighting her very strained relationship with the truth.
Who is the real Kamala Harris? Americans have no idea, but they do know that she is a person who is fueled by ambition and willing to sacrifice her principles to obtain power.
In the weeks since her coronation as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, Harris has not conducted one in-depth interview or news conference. Conversely, last week, President Trump held an extensive press conference at his home in Mar-a-Lago.
Unlike Trump, Harris has been shielded from the media. On Thursday, she finally granted reporters some questions on the tarmac at the Detroit, MI airport.
Harris promised an interview before the end of the month, but it will probably be with a very friendly reporter asking softball questions.
It is possible that the chameleon Harris will face tough questions only one time. It will happen on September 10 during her debate with President Trump.
Of course, the American people deserve better, but this is the state of the Democratic Party today.
