Joy Behar told Parkland shooting survivor and gun rights activist Kyle Kashuv to take a gap year and “contemplate his racism” on Tuesday.

Kashuv made headlines Monday for announcing that Harvard had rescinded his admission over controversial posts he made as a teenager.

After “The View” co-host showed a clip of Kashuv apologizing for his comments on Fox News, she said he must learn a lesson from this experience.

“[People] say that young people do these kinds of things, that they need to get a lesson. They need to take a lesson from this. Well, this is the lesson. The lesson is you’re not getting into Harvard, okay? Take your gap year to contemplate your racism. That would be a productive year."

Republican strategist Ana Navarro also took the opportunity to attack both Kashuv and President Trump.

“Moral character matters, and what can I tell you? Kyle, the bad news is you can’t go to Harvard if you’re a sexist misogynist, but you can grow up to be president.”

Kashuv will certainly use his gap year to contemplate his treatment at the hands of the media. Also on Tuesday, former congressman and MSNBC contributor David Jolly likened Kashuv to a school shooter due to his past remarks.
