AOC's Unhinged Inauguration Day Rant

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) found herself at the center of a media frenzy after a public meltdown over President Donald Trump's second inauguration. Expressing her liberal frustration and disbelief, the progressive firebrand took to social media to voice her outrage, suggesting the event was a symbol of everything wrong with America. Her comments ignited a fierce backlash, with critics accusing her of being unable to accept the democratic process and resorting to dramatic outbursts in the face of a political loss. AOC’s reaction highlighted the deepening divide between progressives and conservatives as the nation witnessed Trump’s return to power.

AOC laminated Trump’s second presidency as “authoritarian,” quipping she does not celebrate “rapists.”

She claimed that “this is what 21st-century fascism is starting to look like” before comparing it to Hungary— a free country with Democratic elections that also happens to have a conservative leader.

And so you can look to see how Viktor Orban runs Hungary to get a taste of how they will try to govern and control media and companies in the United States. And this is a kind of an entree to that,” she said.

AOC then urged her followers to ditch TikTok and join BlueSky, an X-look-like platform popular among far-left users.

“As far as what we do, you know, some — this is a time of experimentation. A lot of people will still use platforms, can still use platforms, but I also look towards places where you have more ownership as well and develop your audiences there. Like Blue Sky, you own your audiences at protocol,” the Democrat continued.

Social media users called on Trump to sue AOC for defamation over her, claiming he is a rapist despite never being convicted for such a thing.
