Democrat Charged With Voter Fraud In Deep-Blue City

If you ask any Democrat, voter fraud is a myth fueled by Republicans— unless it is the Left committing such a crime.

This week, local officials charged Democrat City Councilor-elect Fidelina Santiago and a female associate with voter fraud in the deep-blue city of Lawrence, Massachusetts.

On November 7, Santiago won her district with 537 votes, while her opponent received 385 votes.

Video footage caught people raiding the mailboxes of various voters in search of absentee and mail-in ballots that were illegally filled out and signed with forged signatures. The city's police chief said that the video would be used as evidence against Santiago and her associate despite the women in the video not yet being identified.

Prosecutors have been investigating the situation after receiving a referral from Secretary of State William Galvin's office regarding " allegations of fraudulent voting associated with the November 2023 local election."

The referral was prompted after discovering that a man, whose name was forged, appeared in person to vote on Election Day. However, poll workers told him that he had already voted. He followed up on the issue with local election officials, who launched a full investigation.

"We're going to get all the ballots out of Lawrence, we're going to get all the mail-in ballots, and we're going to review everything and all the provisionals and reconcile the list, and if further investigation contacting some of the people who allegedly voted by mail needs to be done, we will do it," Galvin said.

Acevedo criticized his Democrat opponent, saying that fair elections should be taken seriously and that Santiago's victory should have never happened the way it did.

"If you take somebody's right to vote, we fail in this country," he continued.

This is not the first time the liberal city of Lawrence faced such corruption. Under the administration of former Mayor William Lantigua, a federal investigation was launched to look into corruption and potential wrongdoing.
