It Doesn't Look Like David Hogg Has Learned a Thing

Townhall has been covering the DNC's new leadership, which includes a white male chairman, Ken Martin of Minnesota's Democratic–Farmer–Labor (DFL) Party and David Hogg, another white male, as a vice chairman. This is from a party that makes everything about race and sex, as do their allies in the mainstream media. While he was selected for such a position almost two weeks ago now, Hogg is making it clear that it doesn't appear that he's learned a thing.

Just like many other Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media, Hogg just can't seem to get over that Elon Musk has hired a 19-year-old who goes by the moniker of "Big Balls." CNN hosts and guests especially seemed to have a hard time wrapping their heads around such a concept. While he may have gone for a rather immature name, he's also quite accomplished, given the companies he owns and the work he's done before for Musk, with such accomplishments happening around the time when he was 16-years-old

On Monday night, Hogg shared a post from fellow liberal, Brian Tyler Cohen, who expressed concern about the new employee and his role with the State Department, focusing on such a name and his age. It's worth pointing out that Musk has steadfastly defended the hiring of young people, especially with his posts and reposts over X. Many other accomplished figures have made great achievements in their late teens and early 20s. Many other young people are working with Musk as he tries to.get to the bottom of wasteful spending.

"He has access to sensitive information pertaining to America’s national security," Cohen posted with such a tone that one could just picture him hyperventilating. There's been approximately 6,500 replies since Cohen's post went up on Monday afternoon.

In sharing the post himself, Hogg added that "Surely he got there purely on merit." His post has been met with over 3,000 replies last Monday night, and plenty of noteworthy quoted reposts, including from Ben Shapiro.

As we broke down last week, Hogg still has a penchant for ridiculous social media posts, and that still is very much the case. His claims about "merit," other than to try to own the right, barely makes any sense here, nor does it have much relevance. Why else would such a talented young person for such an important job be hired?

The Trump administration and Republicans are focused on hiring about merit, rather than the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) nonsense that the Biden-Harris administration focused on and Democrats today still focus on. A poll released earlier on Tuesday from Cygnal makes clear that an overwhelming majority of voters--nearly two-thirds, at 64 percent--want to focus on merit, while just 3 percent say they want a focus on "racial and gender identity," which is what DEI is.

In addition to the other reposts and the thousands of replies, Shapiro's easily takes the cake, as he points out why it is that Hogg not only is a vice chairman, but why he got into Harvard. "Dude you're literally the Vice Chair of the DNC because you were a student at a school where a horrifying school shooting took place, and then you rode your unsuccessful activism to Harvard with an SAT score lower than 95% of freshman admittees," he reminded.

Despite being posted approximately 12 hours after Hogg's post, Shapiro's post enjoys far more likes--36,000 as opposed to 3,900--and Hogg's post is far closer to being ratioed, while Shapiro's post is nowhere close to such dangerous territory. Many of the replies and quoted reposts also went with the line of attack regarding Hogg's SAT scores for an institution which has an acceptance rate of about 3 percent.

Many more posts mocked Hogg, while also focusing on how badly the Democratic Party is faring. This includes in various recent polls, with that Cygnal poll showing a 54-40 percent unfavorable rating, while a Quinnipiac University poll from late last month was even worse, as it showed Americans have a 57-31 percent unfavorable rating of the party.

And this is a party that selected a young activist like Hogg to help lead them, which includes electing Democrats. The DNC's own website, under the "Who We Are" website declares, "The Democratic National Committee is committed to electing Democrats everywhere – from the school board to the Oval Office. We’re mobilizing voters across the country."

This isn't even Hogg's most recent post, including to do with an obsession on DEI-like topics. He also posted about former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, whom he idolizes. Last week he also bizarrely compared him to Musk in the context to see if Musk could be replaced by Buttigieg.

Last week's post involved Hogg praising Buttigieg at the expense of politicizing a tragedy involving a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) train crash.
