How Trump Saved Kathie Lee Gifford's Life

In a powerful revelation, former television host Kathie Lee Gifford shared how President Donald Trump personally stepped in to protect her after she received a chilling death threat from a "psychopathic murderer." Speaking candidly about the terrifying experience, Gifford recounted how Trump’s swift intervention helped save her life, highlighting his willingness to support and protect those in need.

During her appearance on "The Sage Steele Show," Gifford recalled an incident from 31 years ago in which Trump played a crucial role in ensuring her safety after she received a death threat from a dangerous individual. At the time, Gifford and her then-six-week-old daughter, Cassidy, were en route to Atlantic City when the FBI informed her late husband, Frank Gifford, about the threat. Authorities advised the family to continue their plans to avoid alerting the suspect.

“The FBI called my husband, and they said, 'Mr. Gifford, we have a problem. There's this guy. This is a very, very bad human being. [He] was a psychopathic murderer — a rapist and murderer. And he's coming to get your wife,” she said. “They said, 'We would like you, Mr. Gifford, to just keep your schedule and have your wife keep her schedule because this guy, we don't want him to know that we're on to him.’”

The 71-year-old said that the FBI told her husband that the suspect had “raped and tortured” his own aunt.

Gifford explained that Frank initially hesitated to follow the FBI’s instructions until he made a phone call. After receiving approval from the FBI, “he called Donald.” She claimed the suspect would have known her location because she always stayed at the Trump Plaza and Casino in Atlantic City.

In response, Trump sent a helicopter and flew them to his hotel in Atlantic City rather than having them drive. The president reportedly told Frank, “Don't you worry about it. I've got your girls. I've got your girls. And don't you worry.” When Gifford finally arrived, four members of Trump's security team met her.

“And this is why I will love this man for my whole life,” Gifford said, adding that she did not know Trump stepped in to protect her and had “never heard it until just the other day.”

Gifford said that her husband assured the FBI that he had “called Donald Trump. He says he's going to take care of my wife and my daughter.’"
