It’s okay to like Trump. It’s also OK to visit the White House for these events. Sure, it’s not a shock that the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers, who gifted the president with a golden hockey stick and jersey, accepted an invitation. Still, there was some hubbub that the Philadelphia Eagles would not come to the Trump White House if invited. Some liberal rejoiced as if it were 2017 all over again. That elation lasted all of two minutes as the Eagles and the White House confirmed earlier this year that the birds were coming to DC, but another team was also invited.
First, let’s get this out of the way: the Eagles, with the addition of former Giants running back Saquon Barkley and an elite defense, were able to easily trounce the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl 59 (via Fox News):

The Philadelphia Eagles will be heading to the White House at the invitation of President Donald Trump to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last month.
"We sent the invite and they enthusiastically accepted. We are working with them to determine a date and logistics," a White House official told Fox News Digital.
A team spokesperson also confirmed to Fox News Digital that "the Philadelphia Eagles organization has accepted an invitation to visit the White House and is currently working on scheduling a date and logistics."
Yet, the president also announced that the Kansas City Chiefs will also be coming to the White House to commemorate their Super Bowl 54 win over the San Francisco 49ers in 2020, which got axed due to the COVID pandemic (via NY Post):
The Eagles won’t be the only NFL team invited to the White House in 2025.
Despite a loss in Super Bowl LIX in February, President Donald Trump said during an interview with OutKick that the Chiefs would be coming to Washington D.C. to celebrate their Super Bowl 2020 victory, which the organization never got a chance to celebrate with POTUS.
“I look forward to having the Eagles, and one other thing, we’re going to have the Kansas City Chiefs after that because they missed their turn because of COVID,” Trump said during an interview on Air Force One with the outlet.
Yet, the Eagles are for sure coming; we don’t know if the Chiefs got an official invite for their 2020 championship season.
