Meltdown: Stephen Colbert Epitomizes The Barr Derangement Syndrome Engulfing The Left

I thought the hysteria over the Russian collusion was peak insanity from the liberal media and their minions. Then, William Barr was nominated and confirmed as attorney general and the Left has just plain lost their minds over his summary about the report Special Counsel Robert Mueller submitted on the allegations that the Trump team colluded with the Kremlin during the 2016 election. Barr testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where Senate Democrats—demented, damaged, and totally incapable of being reasonable—had their moment in front of the cameras. They’re still mad that Trump is president. They’re still mad that Mueller didn’t give them a smoking gun. They’re the intellectually disabled children in the corner who can only muster drawing circles and nothing else. They’re that stupid over this development. Trump won. You lost. Period. We won. We beat you again—and it’s very satisfying to rub your face in filth again, liberal America.

Barr is the attorney general. That’s the only reason why Democrats don’t like him. Oh, and prior to the hearing, there was this letter where Mueller was concerned about how the investigation was being reported in the media, adding that Barr’s summary lacked context or something. But was Barr’s summary inaccurate? Nope. Even Mueller admitted there was nothing wrong with it. It was just that he was upset with the media coverage. Gee—a member of D.C. being upset about how the media covers them or their activities. This is really groundbreaking stuff…for the left-wing drooling morons who still think the Mueller report proved Russian collusion occurred. It didn’t. Mueller’s report is quite clear. It’s dead.

Well, this nothing burger did enough to stir up everyone on the Left, which led to Barr being dragged by the media…again. The good news is that Barr couldn’t care less about what these idiots think and neither should we, but it does provide some good popcorn moments. And it shows that Trump Derangement Syndrome might be now in a dormant state; it’s now Barr Derangement Syndrome—and CBS’ Stephen Colbert is patient zero (via WaPo):

For most of Attorney General William P. Barr’s hours-long hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, he appeared to stick to the script. He dodged accusations that he spun the report in favor of President Trump and attempted to downplay a critical letter he recently received from special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, which complained that his four-page summary of the investigation’s findings “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of the probe.

The performance came much to the ire of the committee’s Democrats — and to late-night hosts like Stephen Colbert, who was particularly aggrieved at the question-and-answer portion of the hearing.

“They asked the Qs, and what he lacked in A, he made up in hole,” the host said on CBS.

Colbert also took to Twitter to express his irritation.

“I never thought the words ‘barr’ and ‘grill’ could be so unsatisfying,” he tweeted.

The comics also fixated on Mueller’s letter criticizing Barr’s summary of his findings, which was first reported by The Washington Post. The four-page memo released in March cleared Trump of collusion, leading the president to repeatedly gloat that Mueller’s findings amounted to a “total exoneration,” despite Barr noting that the special counsel did not draw any conclusions on the obstruction of justice charge. In the letter, Mueller complained that the summary only led to more confusion about the “critical aspects of the results of our investigation.”

“Going from Barr’s summary to the actual Mueller report is like being told how the stork brought your baby brother and then watching the video of the actual childbirth,” Trevor Noah quipped on “The Daily Show.” “Very different experiences.”

Yeah, again, let’s go to The Post’sstory about this and this sentence that was buried in the lede: “When Barr pressed Mueller on whether he thought Barr’s memo to Congress was inaccurate, Mueller said he did notbut felt that the media coverage of it was misinterpreting the investigation.”

Oh yeah, Mueller and Barr also discussed this. So, what does this all mean? Well, it’s all setting up for another round of the Left breaking their faces open because they tripped over their own idiocy. They’re going to eat it again—and it cannot wait to watch.
