Say what you will about Trump’s immigration policy, and there is a lot, it’s not akin to Nazis rounding up Jewish people. You may have strong disagreements. You see that in the news media every day. The mocking of the wall and its price tag, which can’t be scaled by U.S. Special Forces because it’s 18-30 feet high and it isn’t that much. In fact, in exchange for offering protections to the 800,000 enrolled in Obama’s constitutionally questionable Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which shields these illegal aliens from deportation, it’s the deal of the century. Democrats aren’t willing to take it. Partially because the wall will work, but more so that the progressive base finds working with Trump anathema and congressional Democrats aren’t willing to open themselves up to primary challenges for the sake of a wall, though the DACA issue would be solved legally. The six-month enforcement delay instituted when the Trump White House said they would wind down the program was meant to offer Congress time to craft a DACA fix. Democrats just won’t move, even when the Trump White House offered to legalize another million on top of the 800,000 to secure a deal on immigration.
Yet, back to the Nazi Germany reference, some people are invoking that in their fight against the Trump administration’s immigration stance. One Jewish woman signed a lease for an illegal alien family, saying she felt the overtones were very similar to that when Nazi Germany were hunting down and targeting Jewish people. Of course, CNN actually fed into this false narrative, with reporter Kyuang Lah asking, "Do you hear the echoes of history here?" (via CNN):

For the woman, the link from the present to the history of World War II is strong.
"I grew up in the time where the Holocaust was not so far behind me," says the woman. "There was always that awareness, as a Jew, that it's possible to be kicked out of a country where people thought they were home. And many of those people didn't make it."
She says there is a strong feeling in the Jewish community. "We cannot let this happen. It's our responsibility. What was done to us cannot happen to other people."

This is a sensitive subject, but no one should allow this to slide. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are doing their jobs. If you’re here illegally, you go. There are no concentration camps. This isn’t done because the U.S. is at war with the Hispanic race. This isn’t being done to reach a greater degree of racial purity. There is no law outlining specifically the protection of American blood (which can be anyone black, white, Asian, Muslim, Hispanic, etc. that’s the beauty of America—anyone can be an American), which was infamously laid out in a series of laws by Dr. Wilhelm Stuckart, a high-ranking Nazi. We're not ordering illegals, who wouldn't agree to this anyway, but just bear with me here, to wear identifying articles on their clothing; the Taliban adopted this with Afghanistan's Hindu population when they were in power.
When you come here illegally and the authorities catch you, you get deported. There is a new sheriff in town: Donald J. Trump. And he’s going to enforce the laws. To suggest that what is happening her regarding the ICE raids as being akin to Nazi roundups is absurd and insulting to the men and women who work for ICE, along with the many World War II veterans who—you know—actually fought the Nazis. This woman has a problem with Trump’s immigration policy. That’s fine. What’s not fine for CNN to do is peddle this shoddy theory that enforcing immigration laws is similar to what happened during the Holocaust.
