Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has angered leftists in the United States for months on end for his efforts to help carry out President Donald Trump’s agenda.
As Townhall covered, New Jersey Democrat Sen. Andy Kim that he is open to shutting down the government over Trump and Musk.
Additionally, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders lost it over Musk in a recent interview.
Liberals in America aren’t the only ones angry about Musk’s affiliation with Trump.
This week, reports broke that there is a petition underway to revoke Musk’s Canadian citizenship.

Reportedly, 200,000 people have signed it.
The reason why? Because Musk is involved in Trump’s administration. He spearheads the newly-formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) (via The Hill):
The petition, which is progressing through the Canada’s House of Commons, was filed by Qualia Reed, an author from Nanaimo, British Columbia.
Democrat MP Charlie Angus, a vocal critic of Musk, has also backed the petition, which had garnered over 34,000 signatures from across Canada by Saturday evening, according to Canadian outlet CTV News.
The petition calls on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to cancel Musk’s citizenship and Canadian passport.
Musk was born in South Africa. He holds Canadian citizenship through his mother, who was born in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Since President Donald Trump took office, Canada has been at odds with the U.S. Townhall covered how Trump increased tariffs on Canada for their role in enabling the border crisis.
Trump told reporters that if Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has an issue with it, Canada could become the 51st state.
