Really: Hillary to Keynote a Cybersecurity Summit

FireEye, Inc. is hosting its 10th annual Cyber Defense summit, intended to "bring together many of the world's leading security experts, frontline heroes, government leaders, and executives from various industries to address the challenges of today’s threat landscape," the intelligence-led security company explains on its website.

They thought former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would fit the bill, so they invited her to give one of the keynote speeches.

Worse, she accepted.

I could provide a recap of Clinton's unethical use of a private server during her tenure at the State Department, and how the FBI had to dedicate a whole investigation to it...But instead here are a few of the 3,000 entertaining comments left on FireEye's announcement post.

One of the best reactions actually came from a Republican lawmaker, Rep. Mark Green (R-TN).

Most everyone else simply asked if FireEye was celebrating an early April Fools.

The Cyber Defense summit will be held October 7-10 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. I myself considered attending. But as many social media users noted, comedy club tickets are much cheaper.
