Juanita Broaddrick, the woman who accused former President Bill Clinton of rape while he was Attorney General of Arkansas, said she believes Tara Reade's sexual assault allegations made against former Vice President Joe Biden. According to Broaddrick, there is far greater evidence to support Reade's allegations than there is for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault in college.
"[Tara] is a very, very intelligent and credible woman," Broaddrick told TheHill. "She had so many details, so many details that Christine Blasey Ford would never dream of having."
Even though Broaddrick and Reade have never met, Broaddrick said the tone of Reade's voice reminded her of the many sexual assault survivors she has talked to.
"There's just a vibration that you feel and you know when someone has really suffered this," she explained.
Broaddrick said she sees some similarities between how the media handled her accusations versus how they're handling Reade's but there are also major differences.
"Tara is much more brave than I am. Back in '91 when Bill Clinton first started running for president, I was too afraid to come forward. Even back then, I never came forward. I had gotten past this and I had a happy life and I did not want to rock the boat at all," Broaddrick said. "Tara is a brave woman."
The biggest difference between how the allegations are being handled has to do with the MeToo movement, Broaddrick explained. The MeToo movement didn't exist in the 1990s. The one thing Broaddrick and Reade have in common is their alleged perpetrators are "doing things" for the feminist movement.
"They're much the same too because here you had President Bill Clinton that was doing so much for the feminists and they did not want to go up against him because they had so many bills in the process of being passed for women," she said. "Now you have the very same thing going on with Biden. He's getting support from the feminist groups just like Clinton did."

Broaddrick said the reason the media isn't taking Reade's allegations seriously is the same reason they ignored her allegations against Clinton: it's because Biden is running for president.
"They hate Trump. They'll do anything," she said.
The MeToo movement claims to stand up for women, to want to hold predators accountable for their actions, but the reality is they only want to hold people accountable when it suits their agenda. If it's someone they consider an ally, the thought of "believing women" goes out the door. And it's a shame.
What happened to believing the victim, investigating the allegation and coming to a conclusion? The media has skipped the first two steps and already moved to the judgment phase of the Reade case: they believe Biden simply because of who he is. That in itself is a travesty.
