NRA Members Send a Message to Michael Bloomberg Following His Super Bowl Ad

Former New York City Mayor turned 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg dropped $10 million on an ad buy focused on gun control. The ad focused on the death of 20-year-old George Kemp Jr. who was killed. The problem, however, is Bloomberg's gun control group, Everytown for Gun Safety, runs with the stat that "2,900 children die from gun violence every year." Kemp wasn't a child when he was killed. He was 20-years-old. But most of Everytown's stats relating to "kids" include 18 and 19-year-olds.

After Bloomberg's cherry-picked fact ad ran played on TVs across the nation, the National Rifle Association posted a video of members at the Great American Outdoor Show that's currently taking place in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They each have a message for Bloomberg: they will not be disarmed.

"Mike Bloomberg suggests that disarming minority males, like myself, will keep us alive, but I have news for you: Mike Bloomberg is a white billionaire who has no place in telling me how I can defend myself or my loved ones," an African American by the name of Rehn said in the NRA ad. "And, Mike, as an African American male that you want to disarm, I promise you will never take away my Second Amendment right"

"I'm a proud supporter of the NRA and the Second Amendment. I'm a proud father and if anyone messes with my daughter, they're gonna learn today," a man named Deon said. "Mike thinks it's stupid to own guns in our own home. Mike: what part of 'shall not be infringed' do you not understand?"

"As a mother of a three-year-old little boy, my family means everything to me," Ashley Boop explained. "As a woman, I believe the best way to protect my family is with a firearm.

"As a woman, it's important that I'm able to defend myself. As a mother, I want to pass that on to my daughter so that she knows she never has to be defenseless," Olivia Frye explained. "Mike Bloomberg, think about the women in your life. Are you okay with the fact that your policies could leave them defenseless?

"Mr. Bloomberg: your home is protected by armed guards at all times. Why can't I exercise my Second Amendment rights to protect mine?" Mikaela Adcoc asked.

"As a former SWAT officer, I've been in many scary situations before, but Mike Bloomberg, I'm not afraid," a 17-year law enforcement veteran named Joe said."

Billionaires like Michael Bloomberg continually work to disarm law-abiding gun owners while they have armed guards protect them. Newsflash: not everyone can afford armed security. in fact, the majority of Americans can't afford it. That's why our safety is in our hands. And it's why we fight like hell to protect the Second Amendment.
