If you listen carefully, you can literally hear the sound of America.
It can be heard in the voice of Dallas pastor Ryan Binkley (www.Binkley2024.com) whose faith in our nation and the opportunities it provides every citizen is powering his longshot bid for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Binkley has been honeycombing the early primary and caucus states like Iowa and New Hampshire with a message that goes beyond by-rote position papers and Washington beltway issues on which other candidates focus. Binkley (the first pastor to seek the GOP nomination since Pat Robertson in 1988) wants to energize Evangelical Christians who have been turned off by politics as usual.
“You know, many Christians have been disillusioned by so many things politically and even by leaders who haven’t led with integrity,” Binkley told SRN News recently. “We’re looking at corruption in our government and we wonder what’s happened. But this isn’t the time for Christians to back up. It’s time for Christians to step forward and start believing again. And what do we need as believers? We just need to have faith.”
Then there’s the surprise summer blockbuster “Sound of Freedom,”…a searing big-screen docudrama starring Jim Caviezel. “Sound of Freedom” is based on the true story of Tim Ballard who spent more than a decade fighting child sex trafficking in the U.S. and multiple foreign countries as a Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security. The film is disturbing, sometimes depressing, but shines the white-hot light of publicity on exploitation of children worldwide. (In 2013, Ballard and other Homeland Security agents gave up their lucrative careers in government to form Operation Underground Railroad (www.OurRescue.org) to continue their mission of rescuing children from traffickers unencumbered by politics and Washington foot dragging and red tape.
“Sound of Freedom” was completed back in 2018 and was set to be released to theaters by 20thCentury Fox that same year. But when The Walt Disney Company absorbed FOX in one of its wild spending sprees, “Sound of Freedom” ended up parked on a shelf somewhere until director Alejandro Monteverde generated enough cash through crowd-funding to persuade independent Angel Studios to acquire and release the movie on July 4th this year.

Hollywood and media reaction has been universally negative…attacking Jim Caviezel’s performance and even comparing the child trafficking theme of the movie to a “QAnon conspiracy.” (Big name actors who can’t wait trip over themselves to get selfies with climate radicals like Greta Thunberg or who rally behind accused predators like Roman Polanski and Kevin Spacey were stunned when “Sound of Freedom” roared to the top of the boxoffice charts…passing $100-million in only 16 days of release…even topping the 5th Indiana Jones film at one point.)
But the really inspiring part of the story is that millions of moviegoers were determined to see and support “Sound of Freedom” despite roadblocks mysteriously thrown in their way by national theater chains like AMC and Regal Cinemas. Social media sites like Instagram exploded with reports of alleged air conditioning malfunctions and online ticket cancellations obviously designed to discourage folks from seeing this film version of the Jeffrey Epstein child exploitation island.
And speaking of stunning the elites, nobody has achieved more on that score this year than our 45th—and likely 47th—president Donald J. Trump. Despite political chicanery gussied-up as “indictments” by partisans like Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg and special prosecutor Jack Smith, Trump’s astonishing rise in the polls continues unabated. And the once-heralded presidential campaign of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has—over the past two months—fallen flatter than an Aunt Jemima pancake. Ditto the other real-and-imagined GOP contenders ranging from the sharp-as-a-tack Viveck Ramaswamy to hapless no-chancers like Asa Hutchinson and the embarrassing Chris Christie.
Despite legal troubles and a 100% united news media attacking him 24/7, Donald Trump as of now appears to be on a glide path to the GOP nomination and a hard-fought (but totally winnable) campaign for another term in The White House. And when that happens, to quote Ronald Reagan, “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.” A Trump Presidency 2.0 promises no repeat of the RINOs and Pentagon weasels who hampered many of #45’s plans to (wait for it) Make America Great Again.
The bottom line? Men and women here in America don’t want to be dictated to by corporate executives, Hollywood grandstanders, or self- proclaimed “prosecutors” who feel they should make decisions for the rest of us. They keep trying, of course. But ask Bud Light how that myopic decision-making worked out for them.
Country star Jason Aldean summed it up best over the weekend. His song “Try That In A Small Town” has been smeared by activists and banned by the CMT cable channel…which says much more about CMT’s leftist leanings than it does about the song. (Apparently CMT disagrees with the lyrics, which decry the BLM riots and the surge of violent crime plaguing most of our major cities.)
In Cincinnati, Aldean conceded that he feels everyone is entitled to their opinion about his work. But then he added: “What I am is a proud American. I love our country. I want to see it restored to what it once was before all this (BS) started happening.” To which the thousands of concertgoers began prolonged chanting of “USA! USA! USA!”
Amen. Pastor Ryan Binkley…Jim Caviezel…Donald J. Trump…Jason Aldean.
