Race-Hustlers Throw a Match Then Watch the World Burn

“For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.” – Hosea 8:7

When we sow the wind, we should not be surprised when we reap a whirlwind.

And the whirlwind in which we find ourselves today is a nation on fire because of unchecked hatred and ill-placed anger. That’s why legitimate protests quickly metastasize into the razing of cities.

This time it began in Minneapolis, and then spread to big cities across the United States.

We’ve all seen the sickening video of the murder of an unarmed black man, George Floyd. On May 28, Floyd’s ministry associate, Ronnie Lillard, told Christianity Today, Floyd “helped push the baptism tub over, understanding that people were going to make a decision of faith and get baptized right there in the middle of the projects…The things that he would say to young men always referenced that God trumps street culture. I think he wanted to see young men put guns down and have Jesus instead of the streets.”

How could a man like that end up handcuffed and pinned down on the street, suffocating under the knees of a law enforcement officer?

We should be outraged.

It’s right to demand justice. Sometimes it’s necessary to protest peacefully or practice civil disobedience. But that’s not what’s happening.

Like clockwork, race-hustlers and Trump haters slithered in from the shadows, and the next thing we know, Minneapolis and other big cities are up in flames.

And those who stirred the familiar pot of racism stepped back to pop popcorn and enjoy the show.

Meanwhile, Trump haters flooded social media, suggesting one of the officers now charged with murder and manslaughter was at a Trump rally. USA Today debunked the lies, but it was too little, too late.

Enter leftist filmmaker and race-baiter Michael Moore, tweeting: “Good citizens burning down the evil police precinct in MN after all police were out & safe…Police HQ must be demolished by the city tomorrow as a show of contrition to black America. Rebuild PD with decent kind ppl aka ppl of color.”

Moore’s definition of “good citizens” are those who burn down police precincts. Moore also failed to mention the police department’s top cop, Police Chief Medaria Arrandondo, is a fifth-generation African-American Minnesotan.

Also enter former President Obama, America’s infamous Divider-in-Chief and king of the left’s race-card hustle.

Obama’s been stirring up trouble for years. In 2016, there was the officer-involved shooting of Philando Castile in a St. Paul, Minnesota suburb. It led to a rash of cop shootings and murders across the U.S. In an interview, Cleveland police union president, Detective Steve Loomis, told Fox News Obama’s words were to blame.

“It’s absolutely insane,” Loomis said, “that we have a president of the United States and a [Democrat] governor of Minnesota making the statements they made less than one day after the police-involved shootings… It’s reprehensible.”

He said Obama “has blood on his hands that will not be able to become washed off” because he “validated a false narrative” about police targeting black men.

Fast forward to May 29, 2020. Obama did what he does best, stirring up division while bloviating about racism. On Twitter, he wrote: “It’s natural to wish for life ‘to just get back to normal’…But we have to remember that for millions of Americans, being treated differently on account of race is tragically, painfully, maddeningly ‘normal’…”

Undoubtedly, Obama’s exaggeration that “millions of Americans” are victims of racism was used like a fireplace bellows to intensify the flames.

That’s the opposite of what Floyd’s girlfriend said he’d want. Courteney Ross told the Star Tribune, Floyd would be devasted to see Minneapolis on fire because he “was about love and peace.”

Not politics and race-baiting, like Obama and Moore.

Hello, pot. Meet Kettle.

There’s a relevant line in the movie “Dark Knight,” where Alfred Pennyworth says, “…some men aren’t looking for anything logical, like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.”

And burn it shall, until love and forgiveness replace hate. God spoke to Job from a whirlwind, so maybe there’s hope for us in ours.
