Sam Anderson currently serves as the Director of Cybersecurity Policy at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) and the Senior Director of Data, Operations, and Strategic Partnerships at America First Works (AFW). Sam is currently completing her Doctor of Engineering in Cybersecurity Analytics at George Washington University (GWU), a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Research certified by NSA and DHS. An ethical hacker by trade, her doctoral research delves into the tactics, techniques, and procedures of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) from China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia. Sam also earned her Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity degree from GWU.
Prior to AFW, Sam built a career in data analytics, cybersecurity, and policy. She worked analytics firm that catered to clients ranging from Fortune 10 companies to major industry trade groups, served as the Data Director for President Trump, and took on dual roles as Policy Chief and Data Director for a Governor.
