So often, people presume they have it all figured out, when they do not know with certainty what is best to achieve their desired ends. It has been widely observed that it was God’s intervention on July 13, 2024, at Butler, Pennsylvania, that caused Trump to turn his head a split second after the would-be assassin pulled the trigger, thus causing the bullet to graze Trump’s ear rather than inflicting a mortal wound to his skull. And then what followed were the photo ops of Trump rising with a bloodied ear and face, defiantly shouting “fight, fight, fight.” No human could have planned or foreseen that photo op—a picture that traveled around the world that conveyed power, courage, and defiance of evil. That development alone may have sealed Trump’s electoral victory less than four months later.
God seems to have intervened in Donald Trump’s political life in a more profound and complicated way four years ago, when many Americans believed that Trump had been denied an election victory and a second term. Indeed, Trump himself was convinced that vote fraud had denied him a second term. And he hoped that calling a peaceful protest at the U.S. Capitol building on January 6, 2021—when all the states’ electors were gathered to certify the vote—would cause a pause in the certification process and send the electors from the conflicted states back home to sort out the vote count irregularities in their respective states.
We all now know that that January 6th peaceful protest of the election irregularities of the November 3 presidential election backfired and in the end, Trump chose not to pursue a challenge to Biden’s electoral college vote count numbers, even while alleging that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent.
What followed in the next four years during the Biden administration was unprecedented in all American history:
- The opening of the southern border with Mexico precipitated an invasion of more than 325,000 illegal immigrants monthly (4 million entries annually).
- The undercutting and abandonment of merit-based hiring throughout government from the imposition of mandatory Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies.
- The August 15, 2021, botched retreat of U.S. forces from Afghanistan, resulting in the unnecessary death of 13 servicemen and injury of many more, and the abandonment of some $85 billion of advanced military weapons and hardware.
- The thorough demoralization of the military rank and file from the Afghanistan fiasco and the imposition of critical race theory and DEI training and requirements that resulted in plummeting enlistments for all branches with each failing to meet minimal recruiting targets.
- The systematic attack on police and law enforcement and the parallel promotion of a two-tiered justice system, resulting in an unprecedented rise in crime in cities across America.
As for Donald Trump, what happened to him in the four years in which he was out of office was also unprecedented in all American history:
Recommended
- In January 2021, the U.S. House of Representatives charged Trump with insurrection and impeached him for a second time.
- The January 6th Committee was set up and had its first meeting within six months, and like Mueller’s Russian collusion hoax investigation starting in 2017, it consisted exclusively of Trump adversaries in a made-for-TV Stalinist show trial format.
- On August 8, 2022, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence was raided by the FBI, with authorization to use deadly force, on the false premises that Trump illegally possessed classified documents—at the very time Trump’s lawyers were negotiating the return of said documents.
- In the following year, 2023, four criminal felony indictments were filed against Donald Trump.
- In 2024, Trump was the target of two assassination attempts.
Many Americans wondered where God was in allowing a very corrupt, weak, and mentally incompetent candidate, Joe Biden, to become POTUS—resulting in America suffering a radical and rapid decline. At the same time, it was difficult to understand why Trump would have to go through unprecedented difficulty during the same time.
Perhaps God deemed it necessary for the American people to experience the consequences of corrupt and dark power so that they would wake up and turn to the light at the next election. In the case of Trump’s difficulties it is best to remember that every biblical leader whom God raised up—Moses, Joseph, Job, David, Elijah, Jeremiah, and Daniel, to name a few—had to overcome immense and protracted difficulties and endure and learn through crisis before they could truly lead and carry out their destiny.
By skipping a sequential second term, a four-year period in which he had to overcome immense challenges, reflect, and learn from prior mistakes, and really understand the enemy, Trump became better equipped in every way to lead and save America. It certainly appears that divine intervention thwarted Trump’s wish and conviction to serve a consecutive second term. Instead, God provided another more perfect plan of skipping a term, assuring that Trump would come back better equipped, with superhuman vigor, speed, and shock-and-awe to deliver many more knock-out blows than he did in his more youthful first term.
Expect miracles so long as God’s hand remains on America.
