Democratic Custodial Services – MSNBC
You are living in Dream Land if you expect a candidate to speak to the press and detail their policies!
On Friday’s panel show with Bill Maher, New York Times resident “conservative” (ahem) Bret Stephens was discussing the lack of media exposure Kamala Harris was willing to engage in, and MSNBC pundit Stephanie Ruhle was aghast that Bret would even suggest that she needed to detail her plan in order for him to vote for her.
It became yet another example of a member of the media staunchly defending Harris avoiding the media. Taking it further, Ruhle was of the firm position that Stephens was effectively required to vote against Trump, in completely unbiased non-partisan neutral fashion:
If you don't like her answer, are you going to vote for Trump? Kamala Harris is not running for perfect, she is running against Trump. We have two choices. There are some things that you might not know her answer too. In 2024, we know exactly what Trump will do, who he is, and the kind of threat he is to democracy.
Ruhle also announced that if he is someone expecting Harris to conduct interviews as a candidate, he should be living in Nirvana, for some reason.

So this is a journalist clearly defending a candidate avoiding the press, and declaring that you need to vote for Kamala as a vote against Trump. https://t.co/huSSPfspL6

News Avoidance Syndrome – ABC NEWS
This would be truly gripping, were he running for office...
Michael Strahan sat down on “Good Morning America” to have a deeply probing and insightful interview with Doug Emhoff. I should amend that; it was a puff piece that never even dared to trend close to asking about his first marriage ending when he knocked up his nanny and compelled her to get an abortion.
But what would we expect, considering they approved of this interview and not one involving – you know – the woman who is actually running for the presidency?
ABC puffs Doug Emhoff! It's especially appalling they tout the first Mrs. Emhoff and her stout defense of Kamala as a "mother." ABC has never mentioned Doug ruined his first marriage by cheating with (and impregnating) the nanny. This came out THIS MONTH. And there's nothing. pic.twitter.com/xdX0qECIgb

Pre-Written Field Reports – PUBLIC BROADCASTING SERVICE
On “Washington Week with The Atlantic,” host Jeffrey Goldberg invited on a writer from his outlet, Caitlin Dickerson, to comment on some of Donald Trump’s comments regarding the influx of immigrants this nation has experienced. As far as the press looking for far less inciteful language, in light of the recent assassination attempts on Trump, Dickerson has not received those tear sheets:
When he points to people from the Congo, the Middle East and Asia, and then says they`re destroying the fabric of our country, what is that? What is the fabric meant to, refer to? It refers to whiteness, right? And not only that, he's obviously said on the campaign trail, as you know, immigrants are poisoning the blood of America, that they’re animals, that they’re not human. I mean this is the territory of fascist neo-Nazi groups.
Has former President Trump's language around immigration become harsher?

"I think really it's a transformation toward very bald expressions of racism and xenophobia," said @itscaitlinhd.

Legalized Press-titution – THE NEW YORK TIMES
We are allowing that this is an op-ed delivered by a celebrity cooking show hostess, so it is not expected to reflect the paper in general. However, editors still allowed Padma Lakshmi to write about how the cooking proclivities of Kamala somehow qualifies her to run the country.

Stealth Story Evolution – THE NEW YORK TIMES (2.0)
You seem to have altered the ingredients in your headline.
It would seem The New York Times caught a high degree of mockery over the wording selected to push the op-ed shown above. The outlet sent the headline back to the kitchen to have it prepared properly.
I think it is fair to say the @NYTimes was roundly mocked over its headline choice.

Notice the oh-so unsubtle alteration from the original to the current offering. pic.twitter.com/tTzGe3Q7bJ
