"WE ARE ALL HAMAS." This is, inexplicably, a real phrase chanted by real students at more than one "elite" institution of supposedly "higher" learning in the United States of America in the year of our Lord 2024. Well, when someone tells you who they are, believe them.
For years, college and university campuses in the United States have been hotbeds of so-called "progressive" thinking and action. Never mind that these "enlightened" individuals and ideals are tried-and-failed ideologies responsible for the violent deaths of hundreds of millions in the history of the human race.
The description of "inmates running the asylum" was accurate in describing how leftist students laid siege to administration buildings and faculty to bend reality to their la-la-land fantasies. "Safe spaces" were demanded — complete with coloring books, bubbles, and Play-Doh — and it became standard operating procedure for universities to treat intellectual diversity as a physical danger to their students.
It was a ludicrous thesis, but it reigned supreme except for schools where sane students were brave enough to put their physical safety and academic career on the line to make a stand for common sense.
But now, things have gotten worse. So much worse. The coddled kids of years gone by are now working at all levels of business, government, and culture. They never "grew up" because their schools kept them bubble-wrapped in the faux safety of "my truths." They're now inflicting the same damage on broader society that they foisted on their campus quads and lecture halls. The group that is now rising up to replace campus radicals of yesteryear makes the rhetoric of U.C. Berkeley rioters seem like a children's bedtime story.

These are just a few of the vile chants and signs that are now part and parcel of the "resistance" crowd on America's campuses. To be clear, these are calls for Jews around the world to be murdered and the State of Israel to be eliminated — with hope for a second Holocaust sprinkled in.
At every turn, administrators at schools — save for a few where leaders are properly refusing to indulge the pro-Hamas crowd — have caved to those who declare their membership in a barbaric Iran-backed terrorist group.
Deadlines are set and then ignored. At George Washington University, where statues of our first president are now draped in terrorist scarves, administrators stood by, chatting and laughing, while students ignored administrators' requirement to disperse a pro-terror encampment. Columbia University has let multiple deadlines for its campus' Hamas Youth campout to be dismantled go by and is now seeking to reach an agreement with the students whose leader said Israel's supporters "don't deserve to live." Remember when "don't negotiate with terrorists" was a thing? The University of Southern California even canceled its main commencement ceremony, ceding control to the pro-Hamas agitators.
By caving to their pro-terrorist students who proudly claim that mass sexual violence and murder are justified because the victims are Jewish, the asylums of "higher" education are now playgrounds for terrorist sympathizers. And the terrorists they champion have noticed, issuing effusive statements praising American students whom Iran-backed groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah would gleefully murder if given the chance.
Administrators are apparently fine with the fact that foreign terrorist organizations are proud of their students and administrators allowing them to run amok.
It's not going to end with this, either. Remember, these same people are the ones who have no issue tacking on a "DEATH TO AMERICA" chant to their pro-terror refrains.
At many of these hotbeds of terrorist sympathy, the unhinged students — and even faculty in some cases — are working to prevent the media from reporting on what is being said and done inside their encampments. They're so proud of their position defending the murder of more Jews in any single day since the Holocaust that they hide their faces, instruct campers to cover identifying marks such as tattoos, and ask attendees to avoid using real names when talking about organizers.
Well, we're not going to let that happen. Reporting on the vile hatred allowed and in some cases encouraged by administrators' weakness is more important than ever. Townhall has already been on the ground at pro-Hamas encampments and will continue to expose the truth about their organizers. Contrary to what the mainstream media has tried to claim, these aren't peaceful "anti-war" protests — these are pro-terrorist demonstrations on U.S. soil, organized by people who want Jews and supporters of Israel dead.
Just as remote learning during COVID exposed the rot within education to millions of parents, Americans must know what the state of higher education has become.
But we can't do it without your help. Direct support from Townhall's VIP members allows us to continue reporting, from the ground where terrorist-loving students are chanting for the death of Israel up to the 30,000-foot view of who's organizing and supporting these unhinged encampments. The terrorists are now running these asylums, with horrific consequences. If any accountability is to be pursued against the students and administrators engaged in these gross displays, these stories must be told.
