It was an unforced error on behalf of the Biden White House, and there are many ways to view this Trans Day of Visibility social media fiasco. The most obvious is that the Biden White House has a social media blast on Easter Sunday. Part two of this trainwreck is Joe Biden trying to gaslight us all yesterday, saying he didn’t do it. We’ve all seen the tweet, Joe. If Joe can’t remember what he did 24 hours prior, he definitely forgot Beau is dead. Still, while this year might have been destiny, as Easter and this woke day aligned due to the calendar, the whole Trans Day indicates a broader problem for progressives.
They need to chill the hell out. The left is outright immature on this concept of social change becoming gradual for it to be recognized as legitimate by the masses. Having things shoved down our throats has never sat well with Americans, and you’re seeing that with the transgender movement.
As an aside, I don’t know who thought that Biden would lose support among the LGBT community if they opted to go for an Easter declaration instead. Yes, you should never take any voting bloc for granted, a lesson Democrats are learning brutally as Hispanic and black voter support has dipped to its lowest for the party in almost two decades. Still, the trans community wouldn’t have been at risk of being lost to Republicans, of all things, because Biden chose to put more emphasis on Easter instead of this fake woke holiday. The left would’ve thrown a tantrum, but these people are always drama queens, overly emotional about the wrong things, and they’ll get over it.
That being said, years of gender-neutral gobbledygook being trotted out as science-based is quickly fraying, though we haven’t seen it here yet. As independent reporters, Michael Shellenberger and Alex Gutentag, wrote, across the pond, our British cousins have stopped puberty blockers throughout the National Health Service. More studies are showing that gender mutilation surgeries don’t reduce suicidal tendencies among these people, and those who are trans-men (biological females who think they’re dudes) have an increased risk of liver cancer due to hormone treatments. There are two genders. Period. And our bodies comport to that scientific fact: female livers, when flooded with mountains of testosterone, are likely to produce tumors.
Shellenberger and Gutentag also noted the increase in whistleblowers within the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, supposedly the world’s leading transgender healthcare organization, which alleges serial medical abuse against children, teenagers, and “vulnerable adults.” They hypothesize that the transgender craze is going to end, especially since those who are against this nonsense are a broad coalition of “feminists, conservatives, liberals, and non-ideological professionals, intellectuals, and activists.” The latter group is starting to be comprised of female athletes at the high school and collegiate levels competing against biological males.
The point is that the left wanted us to accept these individuals as women. We were smeared as bigots if we didn't, and many were canceled. That’s no longer the case. The British backlash will be imported, and it’s a reminder of why social change must be gradual. Even things like the Civil Rights Movement, which we know to be right, took generations to codify into law. That killed Jim Crow. The irony is liberals want these race-based policies to return, but in reverse, as lefty college kids want segregated dorms, classrooms, and spaces. It’s neo-Apartheid.
Trans people weren’t going to vanish if this day wasn’t recognized. Still, since Joe Biden has zero political acumen, along with his staff, who think this slice of the population is the majority, they now must deal with questions about why he snubbed Easter. And his errant reply seems to feed into the narrative, whether true or not.

In going above and beyond in catering to a community that’s barely three percent of the population, you managed to offend tens of millions of Christians who, ahem, do vote and in more significant numbers. Is this an election killer for Joe? No. It'll be forgotten, but it's another unnecessary controversy that his White House wasted time on, not that I'm complaining. Moreover, LGBT enclaves are in states Democrats have had in the bag for over a generation. 2024 is going to be a base election, but please, let’s not act like California would be in play for Trump if Biden didn’t send that tweet over the weekend.
