Why Are Politicians So Weak?

Why are politicians so weak?  Remember last year when we were all waiting for the Republican-led House of Representatives to (justifiably) impeach Joe Biden and investigate the Biden crime family?  It never happened, and we know why—Republicans are largely squish.  Democrats seem able to do things like that, but then, the best defense is a good offense.  The utterly corrupt Democrats must do it to protect themselves.

I was having lunch with a friend recently.  “The Republicans need to indict Mayorkas and Garland next year,” he said. And I told him, “It will never happen.  The Republicans are too weak, too cowardly to do that, especially with the RINO leadership they have in the House and Senate.”  My friend reluctantly agreed with me.  “Yeah, you’re right, they won’t.” With nothing to lose anymore, Joe Biden pardoned his criminal son of all offenses.  There’ll be no blowback on Joe, no price to pay, so there was no reason not to.  I’m going to be some kind of mad if Donald Trump doesn’t pardon every J6 “offender” on January 20.  I think he will, or soon after that.

But, by and large, politicians are weak creatures because they are afraid of offending too many people.  And it is all because their first concern—every politician’s—is power.  They love it.  They worship it.  They lust for it.  They live for it. They’ll do anything they can to get it and hold onto it.  And if that means compromising justice, the law, and the well-being of the people, they’ll do it.  They are weak; they will sacrifice virtue and character for any disgusting cause, and they are rarely strong enough to stand up and defend what is truly noble, righteous, and virtuous.

If they can have power and help people, too, well and good, and occasionally those two things do coincide.  Occasionally. But if there is a conflict between power and the welfare of the people, 99.9% of the time, they’ll ransom the people to keep their selfish grip on power.  That is true all through history.  And our beloved government is no different than any other in that regard.  Politicians are the scourge of the earth and always have been.

Doing the right thing isn’t difficult.  Well, let me amend that.  Knowing the right thing to do isn’t difficult.  Through his word and natural law, God has told us what is right and wrong, and politicians should follow the right and point the people in that direction.  True leaders WILL do that.  Finding such leaders has been difficult from time immemorial.

You see, a virtuous populous won’t need politicians very much.  And, to power-craving politicians (a redundancy), that is a serious conundrum.  “If all men were angels, we wouldn’t need government,” James Madison said.  So, it is in the supreme interest of politicians to make sure that all men are NOT angels and never get close, at least not on this earth. Being “wanted” and “needed,” which leads to having power over others, is a temptation that no politician can resist.  Thus, they deliberately create and stir up as many “crises” and as much chaos as possible so that the government—they—can step in and provide the “solutions.”  It makes them feel good about themselves; it makes them feel morally superior to others, that they are “doing” something.  It feeds their monumental egos.  And what they usually end up doing is making things worse.  It takes a person of extremely weak moral character to act like that.  Politicians are weak, which is why they rarely do the right thing.

How many problems have politicians, worldwide and in America, really solved in the past few generations?  Have they ended wars, or are they responsible for starting them?  How many trillions of dollars have been spent since Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” and “War on Poverty” began?  Has poverty ended through these efforts of politicians? Have our beloved elected representatives ended racism?  Have they cured it?  Hardly.  Indeed, they are the ones shouting the loudest about its continued existence.  And believe me, they WANT it to continue.  You wouldn’t need them otherwise.

Do these people really, really believe they can change the earth’s climate, and how many hardships have they caused hard-working, struggling citizens in their vain attempt to do so?  How much money have they wasted on it?  Have they lessened crime, strengthened the family, reduced illegitimacy, improved America’s education system, and protected the country from illegal invasion?  Have American politicians shaped a country with more virtue and righteousness that is safer for its citizens?  I’m thinking very hard, trying to come up with ONE major success they’ve had.  They ARE good at one thing—politicians are very good at killing people, which is one of the major goals of the Marxist, communist, socialist, globalist, utopian, atheistic Leftists, at least given their history.

If they even know what is right—which many of them obviously do not—then it is quite apparent they lack the strength of character, the personal moral fortitude, and the godly virtue to do it.  They are puny people.  They love power, and only weak people with inferiority complexes love to exercise power over others.

And we give it to them.  We feed their childish little egos by exalting them every night on the news, giving them the audience and attention their bottomless selfishness craves, and turning to them as the only “solution” to our country’s ill.  They aren’t the solution, folks.  More often than not, they are the problem and usually worsen things. Isn’t it interesting that, as the American government has grown, we have seen an increasing decadence in the nation and its moral character?  That isn’t coincidental.

The light is in our hands if we’ll only look at it.  But most people don’t, and no politician.
