“My object is to dethrone God and destroy capitalism.”—Karl Marx
Some Plains Indians of America had a unique way of killing buffalo, a very dangerous animal upon which much of tribal survival depended. They would find a large herd of bison peacefully grazing. Several of the warriors would sneak up behind the buffalo and attempt to stampede them towards a high cliff. Another Indian, covered in buffalo garb, would run as fast as he could in front of the herd, and the buffalo would follow him. At the last moment, right before he fell off the cliff, the Indian would jump to safety, but countless of the dumb brutes would plummet over the high precipice to their deaths below. Perhaps hundreds of buffalo would be killed in this manner, and the tribe would have meat, clothing, and other necessities for quite a while. Contrary to modern Leftist mythology, Indians were more concerned with survival than they were with environmental purity or animal extinction, something I seriously doubt they ever gave a single thought to.
Buffalo are extremely stupid animals, and the Indians knew it. So, they were able to use the above method to kill the beasts, which was, of course, much safer than riding a horse into the middle of the herd with a spear or bow and arrow. The buffalo would follow the leader right over a cliff to their deaths. Stupid organic beings will do that.
Jesus called his followers “sheep,” probably because sheep herding was quite common in his day, and perhaps he was too nice to call people “turkeys.” Both sheep and turkeys are also extremely dumb animals, and sheep can obviously effortlessly be led—and slaughtered. They have almost no physical protection devices; that was the sheep herder’s job. But wolves and other hungry predators could easily trap and kill a helpless sheep. Easily led, easily slaughtered.
Sadly, history illustrates, and current times substantiate, that humans aren’t much different from buffalo and sheep. Our Founding Fathers certainly understood that, which is why they didn’t establish a democracy—the masses are easily demagogue. Thomas Jefferson wrote, “Democracy is 51% of the people taking away the rights of the other 49%.” James Madison basically concurred, saying, “Democracy is the right of the people to choose their own tyrant.”
“A pure democracy is generally a very bad government. It is often the most tyrannical government on earth; for a multitude is often rash and will not hear reason” (Noah Webster). Our Founders did not have a high opinion of the native intelligence of human beings, which is why they insisted that education was essential to a free people.

If you are going to give people “freedom,” then they must know what it is, where it comes from, and how to control it. “The advancement and diffusion of knowledge is the only guarantee of true liberty” (Madison). “A well-informed citizenry is the best defense against tyranny” (Jefferson). “The cornerstone of democracy rests on the foundation of an educated electorate” (Jefferson). Otherwise...buffalo and sheep.
If a people no longer know what true morality is or from Whom it comes, then one can only expect that constitutionally-protected freedoms will soon disappear and tyranny will result. “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other” (John Adams).
Karl Marx understood the importance of education, too: “The education of all children...shall be in state institutions.” Let the government educate the people. How do you think that will turn out for freedom? He also said: “If you can cut the people off from their history, then they can be easily persuaded. To a Marxist, ignorance is bliss. It produces buffalo and sheep. “Useful idiots.” Easily led, easily slaughtered.
As our Founders said, a democratic republic can only succeed if the public is wise and morally educated. Patriotic Americans have, rightly, bemoaned what our education system has become and produced. Kamala Harris, as the now “official” head of the Democratic Party, can publicly proclaim Marxism to the American people as her economic policy, and millions of buffalo will follow her right over the cliff. Her plan will destroy capitalism. Read again the quote beginning this column—destroying capitalism is one of Marx’s two greatest goals. The other is the destruction of God and Judeo-Christian morality, which is also an obvious intent of the Left. The Democratic Party has become a full-blown anti-capitalistic, godless Marxist party. That fact becomes clearer with each passing day.
The Left has succeeded in mis-educating too many American people. As a result, democracy is destroying the country. In a democratic republic, if Ignorance gains a majority, it will tyrannize the minority. Or, Jefferson again: “Democracy is 51% of the people taking away the rights of the other 49%.” That can only be prevented by a wise, virtuous, historically-educated public, something America no longer possesses. If it did, Harris/Walz wouldn’t be able to get anywhere near the reins of power, not to mention Biden, Obama, the Clintons, or probably 99% of the people who currently plague the halls of Congress.
For a democracy to succeed, it must not be “the rule of the people.” It must be “the rule of the virtuous.” This is a decided problem in America today.
What has a government-educated populous brought to America? “In the U.S., [just over a century] of full-blown democracy has resulted in steadily increasing moral degeneration, family and social disintegration, and cultural decay in the form of continually rising rates of divorce, illegitimacy, abortion, and crime.” (Hans-Hermann Hoppe).
We failed to educate our people in the role virtue plays in freedom, thus we are suffering the consequences of democracy—dumb, brute buffalo, and easily led and slaughtered sheep. Now guided by Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and the Democratic Party dressed in drag garb and Marxist economics.
Priority one is to take back the American education system.
