To Ronna, No Plan Is the Plan

Recently, Townhall columnist Kurt Schlichter wrote an excellent column asking Ronna McDaniel what the “plan” is to win next year.  As that writer pointed out, to this date, there has been no strategy announced, no public statements of any kind of a logical, effective, step-by-step process by which the Republican Party can win the presidency, keep and expand its lead in the House of Representatives, and gain a majority in the Senate.  I’ve also heard nothing about any “plan,” and apparently nobody else has, either.

I’m confident the writer mentioned above was simply trying to rally the troops and is well aware of what the true situation is. The Republicans in the Uniparty in Washington—and that includes Ronna McDaniel, of course—have no intention of systemic reform. They enjoy, and benefit from, the status quo, and will thus concoct no “plan” that would give good Republicans any strong possibility of winning next year.  The Republican Washington Establishment cares absolutely nothing about the welfare of the country, cares nothing about the issues that are important to you and me, their only goal is to stay in power and revel in the circle of comrades that gives them that power.  Given this, there will be no “plan” to win in 2024.  Indeed, winning next year might be dangerous because the wrong people in office might force these elitists to find a real job and lose their current exalted positions. Their removal is exactly what would be best for America and thus is the last thing they desire.  Therefore, they will not risk that by trying to amend a decades-long entrenchment.   So, the McDaniel “plan” is to continue the status quo—Uniparty in power speaking the right words but never enacting them.

I suspect, deep down, that McDaniel and Mitch McConnell want Donald Trump to win the Republican nomination in 2024 and are working towards that end.  The reason is they believe Trump cannot win the general election.  Biden, of course, means continuation of what has been going on for decades—no change.  Rule by the Washington elite establishment. Ron DeSantis might scare them a little bit because he is an unknown and they don’t know what he might do.  Biden will beat Trump again (in their estimation), thus there will be no alteration of the current direction—more power in Washington’s hands, and that benefits the Uniparty.  I imagine McConnell, and many RINOs, will vote for Biden next year, regardless of who the Republican nominee is.  But, in their view, Trump is the best bet to lose the general election, so he becomes the candidate of choice.

And I also suspect that is exactly what is going to happen.  The only people that could disrupt that is you and me by nominating a DeSantis, or by somehow devising a “plan” of our own to elect Trump if he is indeed the nominee.   We surprised them and did that in 2016, but it will be difficult to repeat.  “Never Again” is probably the motto of the Uniparty in Washington.

Whatever other “plan” might exist would be to make enough noises to sound good to the base, but to ensure things don’t change in Washington.  McDaniel has no scheme to win because not only does she not know HOW to win, but, as noted, she doesn’t care if Republicans win or not.  Folks, McDaniel has her job, not because you gave it to her, but because the Washington Republican Establishment elite gave it to her.   Do you think she is going to offend those people?  And, believe me, whatever you want definitely offends Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, and the RINO gang.  We must understand that “winning” isn’t the goal to those people; the objective is keeping their power and status in Washington.  That city is a completely different world than the one you and I live in. They live there. You don’t.  They want to stay there.  Thus, you are nothing but an irritant and exist only to help them accomplish their aim, which is to remain in power.  So, please shut up and vote accordingly, thank you.

Good, decent Americans continue to be exceedingly frustrated by what is going on in Washington, D.C., but that is only because we ARE good, decent people who want to see our country strong, healthy, and prosperous.  But that is not what the power brokers in Washington care about.  Again, and this cannot be emphasized often enough, their only concern is continuance in power.  Thus, nothing ever changes—except to get worse.  McCarthy’s ridiculous “Fiscal Responsibility Act” is a perfect example.  It was an utterly worthless pile of economic garbage, but it passed, and it is exactly what Washington has been doing for decades, what got the country into the economic mess it is currently in, and Washington will continue to do this until they destroy America.   And Ronna McDaniel has no intention of making the slightest effort to change that by trying to elect the kind of people necessary TO change it.  She’s part of it, her elite status is because of it, why would she want to change it?

Donald Trump says he wants to “drain the swamp.”   He had four years before to do it and didn’t make a dent.  I don’t know why he thinks he would be successful if given a second term.  We, the people, are going to have to change things.   We, the people, are going to have to let Washington, D.C., know that we aren’t going to tolerate this any longer.   The revolution that will bring America back to godliness, decency, economic prosperity, national strength, and true freedom (not debauchery) isn’t going to come from the top down.  It will not start in Washington, D.C.  Washington is the problem, not the solution.  The revolution back to true American greatness will start with you and me.
