Last week was a victorious week for our republic. The Supreme Court delivered wins for life, protected the rights of gun owners, and delivered a win for election integrity. All of this was made possible by President Trump’s transformation of the judiciary.
In one of the most talked about cases in modern history, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. This victory for life gives the power back to the states and the American people to make abortion laws.
For decades, the Court has grappled with the standards imposed by Roe. Even Justice Ginsburg, had criticized Roe, arguing that the decision “prolonged divisiveness” and may have “halted a political process.” The Dobbs decision follows the Constitution and returns the power back to the people.
In another decision last week, the Court affirmed Americans’ Second Amendment right to self-defense in public places. In a 6-3 decision, the Court struck down a New York gun regulation that forced citizens to prove they had a “proper cause” to obtain a concealed carry license.
This is a particularly important win has the progressive left continues to push gun control legislation. The Court has made it clear that the Second Amendment right to bear arms is absolute. Gun ownership is not a second-class right, but one of Americans’ fundamental liberties.
The third major win the Court delivered last week was for election integrity. In Berger v. North Carolina State Conference of the NAACP, the Court ruled that lawmakers have the power to defend election laws against lawless election officials and attorneys general.
This case centered around North Carolina’s voter ID law and the state Attorney General’s inadequate defense of the law. In fact, when the Attorney General was in the state legislature he voted against the law. This case demonstrated the lawlessness that affects our elections when there are factions within a state that may sabotage the defense of the state’s own election laws.

The Supreme Court’s ruling to allow North Carolina’s legislative leaders to intervene in this litigation affirmed the power of the people to defend their own laws in court. This will prevent state officials from sabotaging the defense of their state’s election laws and protect the rule of law in our elections. Far too often election and state officials have been ignoring their own election laws and procedures.
These three momentous wins were made possible by President Trump’s appointments to the Supreme Court. He promised to appoint originalist judges who rejected judicial activism and believed they did not have the power to make laws. Another promise made, promise kept.
Justice Gorsuch, Justice Kavanaugh, and Justice Coney Barrett are all originalist judges who believe the judiciary’s role is to interpret the law, not to make laws. These three conservative wins are just the beginning. These three justices will be protecting our Constitution and liberties for decades to come.
Each of these three Supreme Court justices faced a grueling confirmation process and outlandish attacks on their character and beliefs from the far left. Many other presidents may have backed down from the fight and picked other nominees, but not President Trump. He stood by each of these justices throughout their confirmation process.
But President Trump did not just transform the Supreme Court. He transformed the entire judiciary. During his four years in office, President Trump appointed 226 federal judges.
With many of these appointments, Trump flipped the balance of three federal appeals courts from a majority of Democrat appointed judges to a majority of Republican appointees. These federal appeals court appointments are particularly important because the court is one level below the Supreme Court.
President Trump’s transformation of the judiciary is largely unheard of for a one term president. These lifelong appointments will have a large impact on the country for the next generation.
In his one term in office, President Trump delivered Americans the biggest tax cut in history, energy independence, historic middle east peace deals, and destroyed ISIS. But his legacy and lasting impact will be his judicial appointments. Through these appointments, he has guaranteed that our Constitution and liberties will be passed on to the next generation of Americans.
President Trump has done more than any modern Republican President to protect the Constitution and the individual liberties we hold dear as Americans.
