Kamala Harris Talks Climate As Houthis Attack US Navy Vessel

Over the weekend, the Pentagon announced that Iran-backed Houthi rebel forces attacked the Navy destroyer USS Carney and several commercial ships operating in the Red Sea with drones and ballistic missiles.

No one on board the Navy vessel was injured, and it was able to shoot down two drones launched “in the direction of the ship,” from a Houthi-controlled part of Yemen. According to a US defense official, however, these attacks are just the latest in a string of more than 75 strikes to date on our forces in the Middle East from Iran’s proxies since Hamas conducted its barbaric attacks on Israel less than two months ago.

Biden's response to Iran’s attacks on our forces though its henchmen, including this latest one on our destroyer, has been virtually silence — largely a handful of weak, limited strikes against empty desert warehouses, while doing everything to avoid casualties among the Iran-backed terrorists who carried them out.

Biden set the tone in his first month in office by buckling to pressure from humanitarian groups to reverse President Trump's designation of the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization.

Even Obama's Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said over the weekend that Biden is doing too little to stop the attacks on our forces by Iran-directed forces. Panetta called Biden’s response “too selective,” and said, in contrast to the Biden approach, “I want to go after those who are firing missiles at our troops and make sure they understand that when they fire a missile — they are going to die.”

It shouldn't take a former Obama-Biden defense secretary to call out his old boss for weakness on the world stage. Everyone sees it, and the bad actors around the world see it more clearly than anyone.

That's why on Biden's watch we've had a botched exit from Afghanistan that led to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and most recently led Iran proxy Hamas to attack Israel and kill over 1,200 Israelis in the process.

Like his Democrat predecessor Jimmy Carter from four decades ago, Biden personifies weakness, only more so. When he delivers his speeches, Biden bumbles his prepared lines and stumbles offstage. Now he’s fumbling our national security, and it’s leading to wars and conflict around the world.

What's more, Vice President Kamala Harris actually flew to Dubai this past week to pledge another $3 billion in US taxpayer funds – not to fight terrorists attacking our forces – but instead to attack, you guessed it, climate change. Seriously, you can’t make this up.

And then, before climbing back aboard her carbon spewing plane to fly home, she proceeded to lecture the Israelis on her way out on how they respond to Iran’s proxy Hamas.

“As Israel defends itself, it matters how. The United States is unequivocal: International humanitarian law must be respected,” Harris said in Dubai. “Too many innocent Palestinians have been killed. Frankly, the scale of civilian suffering and the images and videos coming from Gaza are devastating.’’

We need fewer woke climate lectures and less interference in our allies’ response to conflicts that Biden's weakness has encouraged. We need to get back to the business of defending our interests and keeping America safe.

President Trump was a leader on the world stage unlike anyone since Ronald Reagan. There were no new wars started on his watch, and he went after terrorists like Baghdadi and took out Iran’s notorious butcher Soleimani after his two predecessors took a pass on opportunities to do so.

Biden has brought record high prices, record high crime, and record high illegal immigration. And now, bad actors around the world are laughing at his tepid response to Iran’s attacks on our forces.

No need to jet off to Dubai, Kamala – the political climate has indeed changed – the American people are fed up with your White House’s woke and weak policies, and they will hold you and your boss accountable less than a year from now at the ballot box.
