Take your pick among American women in history – Dolley Madison, Harriet Tubman, Clara Barton, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, Ida Wells, Mary McLeod Bethune, Carrie Chapman Catt, Amelia Earhart, Eleanor Roosevelt, Margaret Chase Smith, Barbara Jordan, Coretta Scott King, Jackie Kennedy, Betty Ford, Grace Hopper, Vera Rubin, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg among countless others. With an impartial, astute, and, need I say it, sane press, Amy Coney Barrett would be on her way to be celebrated as a champion of women everywhere.

In this era, being a conservative woman, being a Catholic or Christian, or holding a set of her beliefs regarding the sanctity of life, relegates Amy Coney Barrett (ACB) to the demon category among the mainstream media, Democrats, ‘progressives,’ the ‘woke’ crowd, and the Left in general. This is a sad, sad commentary on the state of perspectives among roughly half of our population. Their pure hatred and disgust for anything and anyone with whom they disagree is visceral, and surely will be the subject of study for decades to come.

In what corrupt and rotten universe is a hard-working, totally deserving person like ACB not a credit to American jurisprudence?

A Human Beacon

ACB is a prime example of what a person, man or woman, can be and exemplifies the type of individual to which we all might aspire. First and foremost, she is a wife and mother who, by all accounts, has done a remarkable job. At the same time, she is a scholar, a teacher, a judge, and soon to be a Justice.

Her knowledge of the law, on so many levels, is so easily and amply displayed that viewers who maintain any sense of objectivity have to be in awe. She is in effect, a walking, breathing encyclopedia of case law in America. Law students everywhere, take note: Here is a standard worth admiring. What’s more, ACB is as composed a person as one might imagine, in the face of hostile questioning that laboriously plods on and on, every other half-hour, for hours on end.

If you're 48, recall when you were that age, and compare yourself to how she handled herself during the grueling Supreme Court nomination hearings. If you're younger than 48, you’ve got something to aspire to by the time you reach that age.

A World of ACBs

A nation of ACBs, indeed a world of them, could be a place of wonder. Where else does someone who maintains an upbeat posture, is obviously in excellent physical shape – apparently, she is a jogger or long-distance runner – is conversant, well-read, reverent, knowledgeable, respectful, and witty?

If the women's movement in the United States even partially lived up to its ideals, ACB would be celebrated among them, and many inside and outside of the movement know that. Instead, she is seen as some kind of mortal threat, slandered and caricatured by people who have no such basis for the slander or caricaturization.

The utterly compromised #MeToo movement, the feminist movement in general, and all other related movements have been exposed for what they are: Phonies who demand that ‘members’ adhere to an exceedingly strict set of rules, beliefs, and dictums. If one strays, even an iota, it's 'cancel' time, or so they seek to enforce.

No matter: The mothers and fathers of the children in our nation, who watched the hearings, or caught glimpses of it on YouTube or other means, beyond the hopelessly biased mainstream media, know what they saw. ACB is a person who is a role model for their children, particularly their daughters, and someone who is worth emulating.

No Walking on Water

ACB hasn’t proclaimed that one can have it all, and undoubtedly, behind the scenes, has her own set of personal shortcomings, foibles, and mistakes. Nevertheless, she has enough in place and doing so many things right that any reasonable observer cannot help but marvel at her demeanor, as well as her accomplishments.

So, the million-dollar question: What caring parent wouldn't want that for their children? What objective media industry wouldn't celebrate such a person? What nation wouldn't want more of this type of individual?
