President Donald J. Trump knew it was coming. So did those in his administration. They knew that the Democrats would launch relentless attacks to stop Trump from implementing his policies and his America First agenda. The Democrats do not care what the American people want, nor are they phased by the mandate issued by the American people on election day. Instead, they continue to promote their far-left ideology and relentlessly fight Trump whenever they can. Despite the thrashing they took on election day, Democrats have learned nothing and continue to put America last.
Democrats have a history of putting America last.
Democrats have put America last since Trump first announced his presidential aspirations many years ago. For years, Democrats have used every method, trick, or scheme at their disposal. They have circumvented and ignored the law, thrown ethics out the window, and pushed false narratives, all in the hopes of defeating Trump despite the cost and expense their politicized efforts had on the nation and its citizens.
Several examples are noteworthy. First, Democrats pursued the Russia collusion hoax, where they tried to convince the American people that Trump colluded with Russia. Rather than focusing on helping Americans, they wasted large sums of time and money pursuing a story they knew was false. Democrats also impeached Trump on numerous occasions with absolutely no basis or justification. Like the “Russia collusion” investigation, Democrats put America last, wasted precious time and money for political purposes, and crippled the ability of Congress to get things done.
Democrats also spent years and wasted large sums of money by weaponizing the justice system and pursuing baseless and politicized legal cases against Trump and his supporters. While the Supreme Court stepped in and put the brakes on many of these politicized and baseless efforts by way of its immunity decision, Democrats showed their willingness to put the country and its citizens last to pursue their political agenda. They wasted large sums of money and time and ruined the lives of many innocent people simply due to their obsession with Trump. Ironically, even the case in Manhattan, where Trump was (wrongly) convicted, resulted in an unconditional discharge and no time behind bars, and could very well be reversed due to one or more possible instances of reversible error.
For years, the Democrats have put America last. They have wasted time and money, crippled Congress and its ability to function, destroyed Trump’s strong and effective immigration policies, obliterated America’s energy independence, and have put their obsession with “getting Trump” ahead of the nation and its citizens.
Democrats continue to fight against Trump and put America last.
With Trump’s recent reelection, Democrats have not stopped. There is already renewed talk among some Democrats about impeaching Trump a third time. Democrats have also resisted Trump’s efforts to make America safer by way of his immigration policies and to root out improper or excessive spending by filing numerous legal challenges. These various legal battles will take time and could, ultimately, end up in front of the Supreme Court.
It is head-scratching why anyone would try to stop Trump and his administration from reducing the deficit, cutting unnecessary spending, and stopping/preventing improper or illegal spending/payments. It is equally mind-boggling why Democrats would oppose Trump’s strict immigration policies that would make America safer and put Americans first. Perhaps some opposition stems from concerns over what will be revealed/discovered.
Opposing Trump’s immigration policies puts America and the American people last.
Putting aside the eventual outcomes of the various legal cases, the fact that Democrats oppose Trump’s plan to stop the flow of illegal immigration and to implement the largest immigration overhaul in the history of the nation speaks volumes about how little they value America and American citizens. For example, why would any Democrat oppose Trump’s efforts to send those who are in the country illegally back to the countries where they came from? Why would they oppose making America safer by sending criminals who are in the country illegally back to their countries of origin? Why would Democrats oppose cutting down on illegal immigration and ensuring that American citizens are the ones who are first considered for employment, housing, and schools/colleges rather than those in the country illegally?
Democrats refuse to answer these questions. Instead, they continue to seek court intervention in mostly liberal jurisdictions in hopes of delaying Trump’s crucial immigration policies. Ironically, Democrats hoped that their non-existent and weak immigration policies would translate to votes in the previous election. However, the American people overwhelmingly rejected their anti-American, America-last, woke, and destructive policies.
Opposing DOGE also puts America and the American people last
Democrats in Congress also oppose Trump’s efforts to reduce the deficit by rooting out improper or wasteful spending with the help of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk. As recently reported by Fox News:
DOGE, as of the end of January, said that it was saving the federal government $1 billion a day, primarily by "stopping the hiring of people into unnecessary positions, deletion of DEI and stopping improper payments to foreign organizations, all consistent with the President's Executive Orders."
Despite the obvious need for DOGE and the work it is doing, most Democrats have rejected these efforts and have sought legal recourse. Like the issue of immigration, which puts the nation and its citizens first, efforts to pinpoint wasteful spending, fraud, improper payments, and unnecessary hiring are crucial to reducing the debt and helping all Americans.
As with immigration, similar questions arise. Why would Democrats oppose such efforts? Is the opposition to this much-needed service rooted in a fear of what could potentially be discovered? If not, why are desperate and aggressive people pushing to stop it? If so, the American people deserve answers. Those who oppose such efforts must remember that they work for the American people, who deserve and demand transparency. Americans did not elect these representatives to make millions at their expense and by using their hard-earned money for their own self-interests.
Trump’s decision to create DOGE should be applauded. DOGE, like all things Trump, puts America and Americans first. Everyone in Congress should welcome such efforts. Sadly, most Democrats continue to oppose it vehemently and to put America and the American people last.
The American people issued a mandate when they reelected Trump. Despite the mandate, Democrats have learned nothing and continue to put America last. By now, Democrats should realize that dirty tactics, politicized efforts to defeat Trump, and America-last policies are unlikely to succeed. The fact that they have failed on so many occasions should give them pause and lead them to reconsider their approach. President Trump has offered them an olive branch to unify the country. Democrats would be wise to consider this seriously. If they do not do so, they could very well be setting themselves up for additional failures and defeats as time passes.
