The Democratic National Convention kicks off on Monday and the presumptive Democratic nominee for president has yet to answer any difficult questions or hold a single press conference since the Democrats inserted her in place of Joe Biden. As a matter of fact, she has barely spoken at all, leaving any remarks to her handlers. In essence, Democrats are asking voters to support a candidate who has yet to articulate her policies and explain how her agenda will help America and Americans at a time when many people are struggling and America is in serious decline.
Harris’ refusal and inability to provide a specific agenda and explain her policies is telling and should lead everyone to seriously question her qualifications and her ability to lead the country. In essence, Democrats are demanding that voters blindly cast their vote for a woman who has failed to explain what she stands for and how she will help them.
While Harris has failed to discuss her policies and agenda or to field any difficult questions, her record provides a roadmap as to what Americans can expect. For example, Harris supports extreme/radical abortion laws and opposed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, a piece of legislation meant to protect babies that were born alive after a failed abortion. Harris has also called for a ban on assault weapons on more than one occasion, thereby curtailing the Second Amendment rights Americans enjoy.
Voters in Pennsylvania and various other states should also be concerned about the fact that Harris would ban fracking. While Harris has recently voiced a “change of heart” on this issue, voters should not be fooled by this cheap attempt and empty promise merely put out there to garner votes.
Americans should also understand that Harris supports student debt forgiveness. While the idea of “less debt” sounds appealing on its face, voters must understand that such debt will not merely “disappear.” Rather, others will have to pay for this debt although they did not accumulate it or benefit from it in any way. As a matter of fact, Harris has failed to explain who will pay for such debt forgiveness, and how/why such forgiveness is fair to those who have already paid off their debt or have not attended school/university.
While Democrats expect “blind loyalty” from voters, voters should understand how the Democrats’ border and immigration policies will impact them. Harris clearly does not want to speak about immigration and the border, as her policies are indefensible. For example, Harris favored Biden’s decision to roll back the various Trump-era border policies despite their effectiveness in reducing illegal border crossings and expressed an intent to expand the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA), to provide additional protections to illegal immigrants by executive order.
Although Harris has refused to discuss this, it is crucial to understand that many of those who are entering the country illegally are taking away jobs from American citizens. The influx of people entering the country illegally has also made the nation much less safe given the inability to vet everyone entering through the porous border. In other words, Harris supports border/immigration policies that will continue to take away jobs from American citizens and make America much less safe.
The economy will also suffer significant setbacks under a Harris presidency. For example, according to some reports, corporate tax rates could reach as high as 35 percent with Harris in charge. It is difficult to see how corporations would stay put under such circumstances. If corporations decided to leave, they would take their jobs with them, resulting in higher unemployment. Just recently, Harris was also blasted for her recent disastrous economic proposals. As reported by Fox News, Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell, who criticized the plan, recently wrote, "It’s hard to exaggerate how bad this policy is. If your opponent claims you’re a ‘communist,’ maybe don’t start with an economic agenda that can (accurately) be labeled as federal price controls.”
Rather than blindly supporting a candidate, voters must understand what she stands for and what her specific policies are. Some additional considerations include her position regarding the American-Israeli relationship, whether she would eliminate Trump-like tariffs, where she stands on the issue of voting and election integrity given her support of H.R.1 (the “For the People Act”) and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, both of which sought to federalize the election process and to take away the powers from the individual states, and why she recently opposed a piece of legislation known as the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would have further bolstered the current law by permitting only U.S. citizens to vote in federal elections.
Ironically, each day of the Democratic National Convention will have a theme. Monday's theme will be "For the People," Tuesday's theme will be "A Bold Vision for America's Future," Wednesday's theme will be "A Fight for Our Freedoms," and Thursday's theme will be "For Our Future."
Americans should pay close attention to these themes because Democrats have destroyed and/or abused each of them. The Democrats’ policies have not been for the people, which is why so many Americans are suffering. To the contrary, Democrats have put Americans last. There is also no bold vision for America’s future under the Democrats’ leadership. Rather, America will not survive if Harris and the Democrats are in power. The economy will collapse, the border will remain open, and America will be on the way to tyranny. Democrats’ promise to fight for our freedoms is laughable coming from a party that has weaponized the justice system, ignored the Constitution and the Supreme Court, and has systematically eroded various rights afforded to Americans, including the right to speak freely.
Finally, America will face a bleak and very difficult future under a Harris presidency. The economy will fail, businesses will leave, American citizens will lose out on jobs, costs will continue to be unaffordable, wars will continue, America’s adversaries will continue to be emboldened, taxes will be high, America will be energy dependent, the unborn will have no rights, biological females will lose opportunities, “wokeism” will permeate the nation’s schools and universities, and the nation’s courts, including the Supreme Court, will be filled with progressive judges/justices who will help the Democrats’ implement their far-left and radical agenda.
Perhaps this is why Harris received no votes, has held no press conferences, and is afraid to articulate and defend her radical policies.
