It’s all over but the crying. At least in the state of Illinois where the crying continues unabated after the recent election. Democrat Governor JB Pritzker has come out to publicly throw down the gauntlet and challenge President-elect Trump to “go through me to get to any of my people”.  Presumably in response to President-elect Trump’s promise to immediately start deporting all illegal aliens who have entered our country during the last four years under Joe Biden and the Democrat’s open border policies. One look at JB Pritzker tells you that President Trump is going to indeed need a very large bulldozer to get through Pritzker’s bulk.

Yes, this is the same JB Pritzker who during the COVID crisis locked down the state of Illinois because of the grave health threat that COVID supposedly was, while very obviously ignoring the grave health threat that obesity is. All JB had to do was take a look in the mirror and he would have seen a much bigger threat to health than anything that COVID ever presented.  Maybe he ought to consider looking at the fast food industry since it presents a much larger threat to our national health than COVID ever did.  An issue that will be addressed by Trump’s newfound friend Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Many of us in Illinois have long memories and can recall when we were locked down and unable to do much of anything during COVID. While JB may call it “reprehensible” to question his wife and daughter’s travels to Wisconsin and Florida during Pritzker’s “stay at home” orders, it certainly seemed rather convenient at the time that they had options due to their immense family wealth, that the rest of Illinoisans weren’t able to take advantage of.  Many Illinoisans would have loved going to spend time in Florida which had a common sense approach to COVID than sitting in isolation in Illinois.

It would be wise for JB to also take a look at the electoral map of the state of Illinois. There’s a whole lot of ‘red’ counties all across the state. In fact, Illinois would without a doubt be a ‘red state’ were it not for the Democrat stronghold of Chicagoland, long a bastion of Democrat Party corruption. In fact many have argued for a separation between the ‘State of Illinois’ and the city of Chicago, since it is unfair to downstate Illinois citizens to have no voice in their state government, with Chicagoland controlling everything that goes on in the state capitol of Springfield.

JB’s recent public challenge to President-elect Trump may make for good political theater, but once again I suggest that JB needs to look at all the ‘red’ counties across the state he supposedly represents. We’re not interesting in theater or showboating. He needs to hear our voices as well, not just the voices of the illegal aliens in Chicago.

When sworn in as governor JB also took an oath to uphold the law, an oath he fails to carry out daily by allowing one single illegal alien to walk freely anywhere in the state of Illinois. Apparently JB picks and chooses which part of his oath of office that he wants to follow.

JB also needs to acknowledge that federal law ‘trumps’ (no pun intended) any state statute. That includes violations of federal statutes governing immigration.  There will be a new Department of Justice soon, and unlike its predecessor under Joe Biden it will indeed follow the rule of law. JB would be wise to also follow the rule of law otherwise he’s going to find himself in a bit of a pickle, and not one he can eat.

So while JB may like to try to talk tough and challenge the new Trump Administration to “come through me”, he needs to understand that “it’s not the size of the dog in the fight (while he certainly has an advantage in girth), it’s the size of the fight in the dog”.  President-elect Trump and his newly announced Border Czar Tom Homan are not intimidated by anyone, including someone of JB’s ‘stature’.

By naming former Acting Ice Director Tom Homan as his ‘Border Czar’, Trump has selected the right man for the job. Homan is just the ‘bulldozer’ Trump will need to go right through JB Pritzker and push him out of the way (along with any other Democrat governor who chooses protecting illegal aliens over the rights and protection of American citizens), and return the entire nation back to sanity when it comes to immigration.
