In the 1987 Hollywood movie ‘The Untouchables’, a film about the effort to bring down Al Capone and his criminal enterprise back during the Prohibition Era, the character Jimmy Malone (played by Sean Connery), at one point asks Federal Treasury Agent Elliott Ness (who was played by Kevin Costner), “What are YOU prepared to do”? Elliott Ness replied that he was committed to doing whatever it took to put Capone in jail.
Fast forward to today, after the recent indictment of former President Donald Trump on bogus charges by the New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg, it would seem to be a very relevant question to President Trump’s millions of die-hard supporters. What are YOU prepared to do?
Certainly I’m not advocating another January 6th which accomplished nothing but cast a black eye on President Trump and the MAGA movement, and provided ammunition for the Trump-haters, as well as the haters of patriotic, conservative Americans in general. We have to be smarter and learn from the past. Plus I really don’t want the FBI knocking on my door anytime soon, alleging that I’m fomenting an insurrection. Lord knows that word has been thrown around so much since January 6, 2021.
Sadly the Democrats and their allies in the news media have for years been playing two or three moves ahead of Republicans in this game of political chess. Everything they do is calculated and planned out well in advance. Including this recent bogus indictment. Republicans too often seem to be caught flat-footed.
Most certainly the Democrats anticipated the anger that it would generate among the former president’s supporters. The Democrats are likely hoping there will be violent acts committed by MAGA Republicans, providing them with the impetus they need in order to declare a national emergency and allow Joe Biden (and the Obamunists), to invoke emergency powers to quell another “insurrection”. My guess is they have already thought out carefully which Constitutional rights will be suspended. First and foremost will be both the 1st and 2nd Amendments.
We are dealing with devious, evil people who are controlling the Democrat Party in America nowadays. They are entirely capable of taking whatever steps they deem necessary for them to maintain power, and to control the American people. The Soviet KGB, East German STASI, and the Nazi Gestapo and SS quickly come to mind when thinking about what Democrats are willing to do to Americans who disagree with them politically. They have truly crossed the line from liberalism and Marxism.
So what are YOU prepared to do to stop the Democrat’s march towards the communist subjugation and oppression of Americans? The first thing to do is to stop being a ‘Keyboard Commando’. Venting on social media might serve as a temporary release for your anger and frustrations, and get you a lot of ‘Likes’ from your followers. But it accomplishes nothing really. Democrats will still lie, cheat, and steal in elections. When confronted with their crimes Democrats will deny everything, admit nothing, and make counter accusations against Republicans. It’s their default position.
Republicans need to beat the Democrats at their own game. We need to be better prepared. We need to run for and win local offices that administer elections in order to ensure that our elections are indeed fair and accurate. We need to speak out loudly and assert our freedom of speech when others try to shut us down. We need to be able to gather quickly and stand strong when appropriate and necessary, just as the ANTIFA and BLM storm troops do that the Democrats employ. We need to match them in commitment, numbers, and purpose.
But I think there is also a ‘glass half full’ viewpoint to what took place in New York on Thursday. A precedent has indeed been established. Once real Americans cast out the Commie Democrats at the ballot box in November of 2024, Democrats who have committed far more egregious crimes against the American people than what former President Trump has ever been accused of will be fair game.
Perhaps it’ll be time to revisit the massive corruption and crimes committed by Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, and Ilhan Omar, to name just a few, along with the many, many other Democrat career politicians over the years who have up until now been ‘untouchable’.
