“There but for the Grace of God go I.”
Each and every Republican politician across the nation not vocally screaming out a defense of former President Donald Trump against the vile and unamerican lawfare grift being waged against him by activist liberal judges, prosecutors, district attorneys and state supreme courts on behalf of the Biden White House should familiarize themselves with that famed saying.
That lawfare grift is a blatant attempt by corrupt political hacks in service to the Biden White House to force the opposition candidate to Biden out of the race. For those shameful Republicans not defending former President Trump against this campaign, they should next investigate the conduct of past and current totalitarian regimes to remind themselves that this is exactly the tactic those countries use to go after their opposition candidates.
At the same time, every sane and commonsense Democrat, libertarian, independent, or “Never Trumper” should also be screaming out a defense of Trump in this instance. This has nothing to do with Trump on multiple levels and everything to do with a chilling misuse of power.
All not defending former President Trump should think about it before it’s too late. If these liberal, partisan activists in the courts -- along with those creating their echo chamber in the far-left media -- can do this to former President Trump, they can do it to anyone. Including Republican politicians cowardly remaining silent; self-described pragmatic Democrats, and multiple CEOs who happen to violate the continually reinvented and shifting grievances of far-left activists and anarchists.
Countless Democrats -- and still far too many Republicans and “Never Trumpers” -- have reacted with pure glee at the thought of a partisan New York Attorney General seizing properties owned by former President Trump. To them, the facts -- as well as the absolute truth -- in this case are not only irrelevant, but counterproductive to their mission to “get Trump at any cost.”
Facts and truths such as: former President Trump stated the value of his assets when he sought these construction loans. The banks did their own due diligence and decided in the best interests of their businesses, to grant him the loans.
And then what did former President Trump eventually do? He paid back the loans…with interest.
Here is one of the most relevant truths of all: Judge Arthur Engoron -- seemingly working hand-in-hand with New York Attorney General Letitia James -- himself found in his own initial decision against former President Trump: “The record is devoid of any evidence of default, breach, late payment, or any complaint of harm…”
Wait a minute. What did that Trump-hating Judge just admit?
Every Republican, Democrat, CEO, and member of the media should read that line out loud to themselves over and over. This is nothing more than an attempted political kneecapping of the opposition candidate to President Biden.
As mentioned in the past, over the course of the last five-plus decades, the far-left has gained majority control over what I call “the five major megaphones” of our nation. Those being: the media, academia, entertainment, science, and medicine. Within those five megaphones exist the most virulent Trump-haters in the country. A cadre of perjurers and con artists who willingly distort, falsify, or outright censor any reporting which rightfully lays the former President well within the bounds accepted business practices and the law.
By the exact same metrics Engoron and James are using to go after former President Trump, anyone can now be dragged into far-left Marxist kangaroo courts for saying things such as: “My state peaches are the best,” “Our food products reduce cholesterol,” “the Yankees are the best team in baseball,” or even “the woke FAA has told Woke United Airlines that the jets built by Woke Boeing are safe to fly.” Anything.
These far-left activists are in it for themselves and will turn on anyone -- or any Party -- when the time -- and the rewards -- suit them.
There is a great deal of shame to be assigned to those not defending former President Trump against these outrageous and unAmerican lawfare charges. But the majority should attach itself to the Republicans not standing shoulder to shoulder with the former president on this issue.
It is not about him. It is about a partisan and flagrant misuse of power which threatens us all.
