Whatever Happened to Cory Booker?

It seems like forever ago, but it was only 2 weeks when Cory Booker was the new face of the Democratic Party. They loved him; he was all over TV, glowing op-eds were written about him…and now he’s gone. Well, he is not gone, but he is back to being the irrelevant back-bench Senator from New Jersey. How could this be? He was going to save the party, but now he’s reverted to nothing. It’s because that’s all the Democrats have.

More floor speeches will go viral on the left, some from people you’ve heard of, others from people you haven’t. None will really matter as the party scrambles to find a reason to continue to exist.

It says something about a political party: they rally around anyone who, even if only for a moment, offers a vision or something that can pass as one. Not that they can actually pass one, but they don’t need to accomplish things – words are enough.

Words, of course, are meaningless without action, and no Democrat can offer any action. They would very much like to do things, but they sure as hell do not want to tell the American public about them.

The old joke about the left is absolutely true – they would love to mandate everything they like and ban all the rest. Piss them off by refusing to conform, and they will destroy you. Think impure thoughts, and they will punish you; articulate unapproved ideas, and there is no limit to what they will do.

Who will be next? Adam Schiff and Jamie Raskin are always lurking. Still, they’re both too ugly (Schiff looks like Mr. Mackey on South Party, and Raskin’s hair always looks as greasy as his soul is) and have such a long history of lying that only the dumbest of the dumb, the hackiest of the hacks, take them seriously (which explains why they’re on MSNBC all the time).

AOC will still be a part of the discussion. You’d think someone considered a “leader” would be required to have actual led at some point on something, but you don’t realize how low the bar is for the left. The buck-toothed Congresswoman is the perfect mouthpiece for progressive policies – a cavernous pie hole and a resume as empty as her head.

Speaking of empty heads, Jasmine Crockett has to be a part of the discussion. Not necessarily because Democrats like her so much, but because Republicans do. The privileged private school fluent code-switcher with fake hair, nails, and dead caterpillar eyelashes that fall off during interviews is known for saying stupid and incendiary things, which is enough to make you popular in Democrat circles.

Look for others to follow that business model. It leads to making a complete clown of yourself and to a lot of campaign donations.

To achieve prominence in the Democrat Party, all you have to do is get attention, walk up to the line of calling for violence against anyone who disagrees with you and for the assassinations of Donald Trump and Elon Musk, be racist, hate anyone who won’t conform to your opinion of what someone with their skin color is allowed to think, celebrate people for how they have sex (as long as that sex can’t lead to procreation), cheer child genital mutilation and be unsure what a woman is in every aspect of life except abortion and your personal dating habits and that’s it.

To say Democrats are lost is to imply they were heading somewhere and lost their way, but where else could their “government knows best, celebrate diversity for its own sake, and don’t judge anyone no matter how destructive or perverse they are” mantra lead? Economic prosperity? Was there a booming economy in Sodom? Was Gomorrah known for its accomplishments on the world stage?

Democrats have nothing to offer; all they can do is destroy – to damage their opponents through any means necessary. Under circumstances like that, it’s no wonder morons will rise to the top, if only for a moment. “Any port in a storm” is a sign of desperation, not confidence or competence, neither of which are Democrat strong suits. And the latter is a foreign concept for everyone who will wear the crown of leadership in the Democrat Party, at least in the near future.
