Get Over the Kennedy Worship

The amount of hero worship showered on the Kennedy family is, honestly, more than a little gross. They are not the saints the myth built around them would have people believe. While sins are not passed down from generation to generation, neither is glory. Yet, with the Kennedy Klan, they seem to be given a lot of credit for things someone with their last name did, not them. The Kennedys of old are dead, it’s time to recognize that and move on.

I grew up long after the “shine” wore off the Kennedy name. John F Kennedy and Robert F Kennedy were long dead by the time I was born, but I couldn’t escape hearing about them as though they walked on water. I’d have to guess more books have been written about the 3 years of the JFK administration than any other. Nothing in the last 100 years, including a lot of things that should be – 9/11, the rise, fall, and dangers of communism, the more than 100 million body count in the wake of the progressive political philosophy – has been examined, covered, analyzed and lionized like the 1036 days JFK occupied the Oval Office.

We get it, Boomers, you loved him. He was young, good-looking, whatever. He also cheated on his wife like it was an Olympic event and he was going for gold, including at least one spy, and used women like toilet paper. If you’re going to marinate in what you see as good, you have to acknowledge what everyone sees as good, even if you’d desperately prefer no one see it.

Robert Kennedy wasn’t that different. Father Joe Kennedy was a horrible person who happily used anyone and everyone he could to get what he wanted. He was a scumbag who laid the groundwork for what became the attitude in Hollywood toward women – he was Harvey Weinstein before Harvey Weinstein was born.

The Kennedy of my youth was Teddy. Well, not my youth, he’d been elected to the Senate before I was born, but he was the one the left had pinned all their hopes on to keep the family name alive, at least until JFK Jr. was able to take over. They reproduced like rabbits, so there was always another Kennedy, always.

Teddy even killed a woman, dry-raped another with a fellow Democrat Senator, and faced no real consequences for it because the Democrat establishment invested so much of their hopes and dreams into him because of his last name. No amount of whoring would tarnish the “Lion of the Senate,” because they simply wouldn’t allow it to.

Ted finally died, allowing women a long-awaited sign of relief, and we were left only with lesser Kennedys – random ones in the House, or local and state government. While there wasn’t one nationally prominent, there was always the threat.

Media leftists paid special attention to them, elevating them whenever they could, or covering their various pet projects like they mattered to anyone other than them.

Naturally, Hollywood played their role. What should be denounced as a traveling sexual harassment show is routinely portrayed as the pinnacle of the American Dream? Sorry, but a rich, corrupt family gaining power isn’t worthy of celebration.

We are not free now, and may never be. While JFK couldn’t get a daytime speaking slot at a Democratic Convention today, the party still pretends they’re the same as they were then. But then they were anti-communist, now they’re communists. Then they celebrated patriotism, now they decry it as racist. Then they were racist segregationists who sought to divide people by skin color in the name of bigotry, now…well, OK, they still do those things, only now they do it in the name of “celebrating diversity.”

As many people, including a bunch of people in conservative media, build up Robert F Kennedy Jr., it’s important to remember that the current crop of Kennedys is only similar to the old group in the looks department. They are on the left on 95 percent of the issues. Just because they don’t support holding people down and forcing them to take vaccines, does not mean they aren’t your friend who’d love to use your money to pay for abortions while weakening the military and stripping you of your freedoms in the name of the environment.

Democrats are terrified of RFK Jr. not because of his stance on the COVID shot, but because on everything else he’s a doctrinate progressive leftist – he’s Joe Biden with self-awareness. He’s challenging Joe from the left, where that party’s energy is. It’d be nice if conservative media noticed that, as polls show, he's pulling votes from both Biden and Donald Trump.

That’s only happening because of the Kennedy myth and conservative media thinking they’re hurting Biden by making RFK seem center-right. But no Biden voters are watching conservative media to be convinced, it’s a big self-own.

Everyone needs to get over the Kennedy worship, it’s a last name, not an accomplishment.
