Democrats are insane. We know this, they can’t hide it. They’re also evil. They used to hide this, but can’t or won’t anymore. Whatever the case, the curtain has been pulled back. But unlike the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz, Democrats aren’t even bothering to try to close the curtain, they’re quite proud of it. Good for them, I guess, but better for the rest of us – we can see these people for who and what they are. It ain’t pretty.
The Treasury Secretary, former chair of the Federal Reserve (and someone I assume identifies as a woman, though you wouldn’t know it by the voice) Janet Yellen, testified in Congress this week and the subject of abortion came up. If you’re wondering why the Treasury Secretary was asked about abortion you are not alone. You also haven’t been paying attention.
Everything for the left is about abortion, they love it more than a fat kid loves cake. So when New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez had his chance to ask the Treasury Secretary about things like the inflation choking the life out of Americans’ wallets, he opted to go down the abortion path.
If you watch video of the exchange you notice how both Menendez and Yellen are looking down. It’s not because they’re shy or nervous, it’s because the whole thing was scripted. Democrat strategists thought the exchange would benefit them; they focus-grouped the words and crafted the dialogue like an Oscar winner for best screenplay. There’s no other reason for the Treasury Secretary to weigh in on abortion.
“I believe that eliminating the right of women to make decisions about when and whether to have children would have very damaging effects on the economy and would set women back decades,” Yellen said.
Ironically, Yellen is a mother. Somehow, even with that burden, she managed to overcome and reach the pinnacle of her profession. That’s typical of leftists – think Barack Obama or Elizabeth Warren talking about the “fundamental unfairness” of America and how the “system is rigged” against various groups, groups to which they belong, and how it is impossible to succeed in that system even though they did.
The fact is liberals in power believe themselves to be special, to be exceptional. Only they could overcome what is impossible for others to overcome. Talk about a “Big Lie.”
None of these people are exceptional, none are even particularly bright. They worked hard to get their power and think themselves special because they’re arrogant. They also hate the country and need to ignore their own personal history to perpetuate that hate in others. It’s rather gross.
Yellen took it further, telling Congress Roe v. Wade “enabled many women to finish school, that increased their earning potential. It allowed women to plan and balance their families and careers. And research also shows that it had a favorable impact on the well-being and earnings of children.”
Who knew the key to a booming economy is abortion?!?! Why does anyone have kids at all? Just imagine how low inflation would be if every baby were aborted.
It’s too stupid for words, yet it is literally what was written for Yellen. Worse, and something that should cast doubt on her intelligence (even more than her entire career has), she happily read it in public, on camera, to the world.
“Who believes this garbage” you may be asking yourself. The answer is Democrats. I’ve never seen a party focus like a laser exclusively on their own base to the exclusion of everyone else before. No matter how alienating or irrelevant to the bulk of the country, Democrats only pander to the people whose support they already have. You certainly don’t want to lose your base, but with just your base you will lose everyone else.

The Heaven’s Gate cult has turned into Democrats of today – they’re both convinced the world is coming to an end and they’re castrating themselves in preparation for it. They’re only buying Nikes in bulk and a mass suicide away from joining them on the spaceship behind the comet.
Let the Democrat Party destroy itself. It will be the only service they ever actually do for the country.
