Nearly 80 percent of Americans believe the United States is on the wrong track. But, to hear some tell it, that’s because we just don’t appreciate how great Joe Biden’s America is.

In fact, President Biden’s America is—in so many ways—nearly double the country it was under President Trump, just a couple short years ago.

In 2020, the U.S. inflation rate was below two percent. Today, it’s over twice that (four times more, to be exact). During President Trump’s last full year in office, the average (inflation-adjusted) price for a gallon of gas was $2.24. Today, it’s more than twice that. Gas prices have indeed doubled under Democratic rule. Last month alone, grocery prices increased by nearly 12 percent—the largest jump in U.S. history. From shopping trips to date nights, Americans are often spending twice as much in 2022 than two years ago.

But wait, there’s more. The Federal Reserve’s balance sheet has doubled to nearly $9 trillion as the money printers continue churning out Biden bucks. Then there’s the national debt, which now exceeds $30 trillion—double its 2011 mark. Fortunately, Biden’s budget will only cost another $5.8 trillion, and definitely not a cent more.

Lest we forget, the U.S.-Mexico border crisis is now twice as critical too—the worst it’s been in decades, with possibly the largest mass-caravan of illegal border-crossers heading our way as we speak. Perhaps they’re lured by government benefits that are twice as generous than under Trump, including all that baby formula actual Americans can’t get their hands on.

Meanwhile, the world is twice as dangerous: Between the likes of China, Russia, and Afghanistan, today’s geopolitical situation is twice as threatening to peace and security as before, Pre-Biden, we were spoiled with no new Russian wars, no emboldened Chinese maneuvers, and no sloppy Saigon-style fleeing from Afghanistan. Americans got used to unprecedented global diplomacy between Arabs and Jews that defined the most recent era of American leadership.

While the Biden administration doubles down on abortion (on-demand, up-to-birth) and unconstitutional gun control, violent crime is rapidly ticking up too. Who’s to stop it from doubling this year too, the way we’re trending?

Of course, I’m being a troll. In 2022, the state of affairs is dire. America is in crisis, and there will be a reckoning come November.

Biden Democrats are in double-trouble. The leader of the free world can’t crack a 40 percent approval rating, while his party ignores actual governance to solve problems like inflation or crime, instead championing pocketbook issues like gender pronouns, transgender surgeries, pregnant men, outdoor masking, and woke Star Wars. When you lose even Bill Maher, a left-wing socialist for decades, it’s time for a sea change. To quote Maher: “It’s not me who’s changed; it’s the Left. A large contingent has gone mental.”

Yes, the world has gone mental, and even millions of Biden voters are ready for a sea change. Only a third of Democrats (yes, Democrats) believe America is headed in the right direction under Biden’s leadership—down from 49 percent two months ago. In polling terms, that’s more double-trouble.

Even Democrats are ready for a change in leadership because their political champion has effectively conceded defeat in the war against inflation, claiming there’s no solution “in the near term.” One solution may be to not flood the economy with $5.8 trillion in new spending, but what do I know?

Then there’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who seems to be more concerned with Pride Month than the actual duties of her job—you know, to not tank the U.S. economy. She too conceded that inflation will remain high and may even increase again.

The writing’s on the wall: Democrats are out of ideas—because their ideas begin and end with identity politics. It turns out that going woke is twice as much trouble as it's worth, and every bit as bad a governing philosophy as "Orange Man Bad."

Count your blessings, America: The red wave is coming, and it may be twice as large as the Tea Party revolution in 2010. In Biden’s world, that would be a fitting outcome.
