It’s hard to admit this. When mass shootings occur in our country, it’s difficult for me to even pause for a moment. There’s no time to reflect, feel sad, mourn, or be still. Because I know the inevitable is coming.  Garbage American news media and their favorite officeholders – the Democrats – won’t wait an hour to take full advantage of a horror to advance their political agenda.

This means the rest of us have to spring into a defensive posture to protect our liberties and simply correct the record before the victims’ bodies are removed from the scene. Like some sadistic play call from an NFL sideline, the American left has a series of well-practiced plays from which they call within minutes of the news there’s been a shooting anywhere in the country.

The two mass shootings in Atlanta, Georgia and Boulder, Colorado were stunningly horrific, but Democrats and the media quickly launched a ready-made agenda before the facts could even be known. You’d think 18 people dead within days of one another would be so sobering we’d all pause to reflect on the souls lost or how we missed the mental sickness of the men who took those innocent lives.

But no, there was no time to waste when a political advantage was up for grabs. By the time we learned of gunman Aaron Long’s rampage in Atlanta, media outlets were enthusiastically drawing quick conclusions from only two known facts: Long was white and the shootings occurred at “Asian spas.”

Now, I don’t know about you but I’ve been around long enough to know a little something about “Asian spas.” Thirty-five “spas” have been raided by the Missouri Attorney General’s office in the Kansas City area alone in the last weeks. In Pennsylvania, local law enforcement raided three such “spas” within five minutes of my home a couple of years ago. Suffice it to say, law enforcement doesn’t raid a spa because their finances aren’t in order.

That’s not to say everyone who runs a spa is doing something illicit or everyone who’s Asian and works in a spa is guilty of a crime. But this story was clear for anyone who wanted to be honest about all we knew. Law enforcement stated Long told them he had a “sex addiction.” Long exclusively targeted “Asian spas” in his vicinity.

The media kept saying that over and over. “Asian spas.” As if to lend credibility to the big lie they and Democrats would begin to repeat for days. Aaron Long was white. He was targeting “Asian spas.” Presto  Aaron Long is a symptom of a deeply racist country where whites are targeting minorities and killing them to ameliorate their dark bigotry.

Days after there were front-page stories of “Asian hate” supposedly rampant throughout the land. Rallies decried Asian hate coast to coast. Somber profiles of all the Asians who’ve been victims of hateful rhetoric, mostly because Donald Trump appropriately blamed COVID-19 on Wuhan, China in a press conference…or something.

But wait, the guy said he had a sex addiction. He exclusively targeted “spas.” Two days after the shooting, The Washington Post obtained surveillance video of Long entering one of the spas he would eventually terrorize a full hour before the shooting began. “It’s unclear what he was doing for the hour after he was seen entering the spa before the shooting began,” they wrote with straight faces.

It’s unclear?

By the following Monday, buried deep were the details of two of the targeted spas having a decade-old history of law enforcement run-ins with prostitution. The family of one of the spa owners even said they weren’t prepared to call this violence driven by “Asian hate.”

But it didn’t matter anymore.  Days of a phony discussion of white men indiscriminately targeting minorities and the growing problem of “Asian hate” had long taken root before it disappeared in the truth of what this really was.  A sick guy who decided he would kill what he viewed as the source of his sexual addiction.

A few days later, a man would enter a Boulder, Colorado grocery store and kill 10 innocent souls. As the shooter was led out in cuffs and before we knew any details, the American left became very excited to see what they wanted to see. The alleged shooter looked like a fat, balding white guy. They couldn’t wait to spin it again. “White guys with guns, right? Probably another MAGA voter doing what they do.”

Except this shooter wasn’t a white American. He’s a Syrian Islamist who expressly hates Donald Trump and everyone he killed that tragic day happened to be white.  So just like any good offensive coordinator, Democrats and their media all-stars quickly called in a new play from the sidelines when they saw they couldn’t advance the “white conservative lunatic” angle further.

“Let’s go gun control on two. Ready? Break!”

And so was born the second fake narrative of two tragic shootings within just six days of one another. One, a made-up story of white bigotry. The other ignoring actual Islamic bigotry and his white victims in favor of a national discussion on guns and what Democrats must do to legislatively control them.

It’s inhumane to be this calculating, particularly before we’ve even buried the victims. But the American left sees every tragedy as a potential political touchdown.  It’s why it’s called a political football. The rest of us don’t have the luxury of sitting on the sidelines in favor of decency and respect.  We have to go on defense right away.  It’s a sick game decent Americans who value the Bill of Rights can’t afford to lose.
