News Avoidance Syndrome – VARIOUS OUTLETS

One of the favored hits on President Trump the past month has been over the soaring cost of eggs. Despite ignoring the issue for most of the past four years, it was suddenly dire news after mid-January for some reason.

Well, today it has been seen that the price of that kitchen staple has been shooting down, and curiously we see far less enthusiasm in the press.

Glossary Over Things – WASHINGTON POST

  • Honestly, we are unsure where this was a problem…

WaPo’s Michelle Boorstein has a unique spin on the immigration issue taking place. She gives us a report from a Washington, D.C., Catholic church where they were lending support to immigrants.

While not necessarily a shock, what is puzzling is that Boorstein states that this is being done for “the humanization of migrants in the Trump era.”

Was there ever a question that illegal immigrants are not actually human?!

Pre-Written Field Reports – CNN

  • He explained it to Tapper like he was five.

It says everything that the media are up in arms about the deportation of a Hamas protest group leader, Mahmoud Kahlil. The built-in claims of a violation of free speech are heard frequently, but there is little seen in the way of curiosity and analysis of the particulars.

After an opening with his reporter making the free speech claims, Jake Tapper turned to Senator John Kennedy and promptly became schooled on the particulars. Green Card residents have limited rights than full citizens, and as such also have restrictions on their status, including that they cannot lend support to terror groups while stateside. Kahlil has been pushing many such efforts and his group has also staged many illegal actions against Jewish students. So, yes – he can be booted out of the country, something Tapper ends up agreeing is the case.

Reporting on the Mirror – WASHINGTON POST / MSNBC

  • Scott Jennings hardest hit.

Catherine Rampell has made a name for herself over the past year. Not a great name, mind you, but one that was enough to impress the suits at MSNBC. The Washington Post columnist who called Doug Emhoff a “progressive sex symbol” and of late has been frequently seen on CNN panels becoming cowed by the laconic wit of Scott Jennings has landed a regular slot on the weekends at MSNBC.

Prose & Contradiction – CNN

  • He once again becomes at risk of a layoff!

Harry Enten is living dangerously at CNN, as he once again comes out with hard polling data on what the public perception of things has been, running counter to his own network’s running narratives.

This time, after weeks of demonizing DOGE and the cuts in spending and government agencies, Enten appears with data showing that the majority of the public supports these efforts.

  • It gets more beautiful as you step back.

NPR delivered a lengthy analysis of the efforts of DOGE and the supposed threats posed by the Elon Musk-led outfit. However, despite all the work, the headline undermines it entirely by summarizing things in a manner that exposes the hysterics over what is taking place.

Here we have the outlet essentially telling us that as the government has all of our personal data, it is wrong for another part of the government to access that same data.
