Democratic Custodial Services – CBS NEWS

  • Even after restorative editing, it required MORE editing to make her look better?

The hotly anticipated (like some watching NASCAR for the crashes) interview of Kamala Harris on “60 Minutes” was seen and – damn – was it ever a mess. She came off looking like a straining salesperson trying to sell a product even they do not believe in, sounding like she was delivering a report on a novel she had not actually read.

And this was in an interview that was not shown in its entirety but had been edited. Bill Whitaker actually delivered a fine job, asking challenging questions and not settling for her word salad, clock-killing filibusters that were not actually answers. This led to the curious reality of people wondering if he is this good of a journalist, why Whitaker is not given a more prominent role, and also answering the question at the same time.

While many looked over the clips yesterday and wondered how bad the elements that ended up on the cutting room floor had been, we find out today that the production went in and edited things anew! In one portion on Israel, they removed one of her meandering answers and replaced it with a response from a prior query. This was an unmitigated mess by the candidate and absolute media malpractice by the producers of this program.

BlueAnon – WASHINGTON POST

Get ready gang for possibly the lamest October Surprise. Remember Christopher Steele, the creator of that fraudulent document on which the fabled and false Russian collusion hoax had been built upon for years? Well, despite the fact that his work had been so well debunked that the Mueller Report looking into the matter did not barely mention its existence, he makes his return, and the Washington Post is very excited by this.

Not only is the outlet touting his book released today that sports “New” allegations about Donald Trump (items that are four years old and clearly not newsworthy), they flew to London for an interview, during which he essentially gives evidence that his revelations are essentially garbage but are pertinent for the public and needed to be released anyway.

Reporting on the Mirror – CBS NEWS

  • The corporate struggle session will be in the Conference Room at 1:00 pm.

On the one-year anniversary of the terrorist attack on Israel, on CBS Mornings, Tony Dokoupil interviewed Ta-Nehisi Coates and asked some pointed questions of his guest who had some rather blatant views in support of the group Hamas. Dokoupil went against type and actually challenged him on a few points in a professional manner.

After this there emerged some internal strife at the CBS offices where some employees expressed dismay that Dokoupil actually committed an act of journalism.

As a result, the network brought in a noted mental health doctor and DEI specialist to address the conflict and to aid those going through the trauma of seeing this heinous act of blatant journalism taking place before their eyes.

Pathological Media Amnesia – THE ATLANTIC

  • It seems Mr. Alberta struggles with quite a bit when scolding a Townhall member.

Our own Katie Pavlich has been delivering details from North Carolina areas affected by Hurricane Helene, showing some of the aftereffects and the problems faced by the locals.

Tim Alberta of The Atlantic felt a need to criticize Katie for delivering uncomfortable details from on the ground, probably due to how it reflects poorly on the Biden administration.

Tim seems to struggle with the difference between a Xitter account and publishing. It is also curious that a journalist is suddenly bothered by unnamed sources, given he works at the outlet where Jeffrey Goldberg infamously delivered the debunked story of Trump insulting dead soldiers based on unnamed accounts.

But then there was Tim, years ago, detailing the effects of a hurricane based on exactly the same type of unnamed personal contacts from the area, and apparently, that was a valid move by him.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – THE NEW REPUBLIC

  • Here is another who might benefit from the CBS News grief counseling session.

Just a quick update: The press is still losing their minds over Elon Musk. At TNR, they have just come out and declared him Scoundrel of the Year. Okay, fine, whatever. If they want to scorch the man over ideological issues, so be it. But what kind of tears it is that writer Alex Sheppard refers to Musk as someone who is “deeply stupid,” and in the promotion of this piece, it is stipulated that the man is “simply not very good at anything.”

This is a remarkably obtuse stretch, considering he came to this country and made himself into one of the richest men in the world by developing not one but multiple successful businesses. From cars to anywhere internet connectivity to space rockets to rewiring the human brain – he has shown himself to be rather good at stuff.

This entire screed is based on Musk’s efforts with Xitter, which is roundly demonized in the content…and then promoted on the very site they have declared an inhospitable digital hellscape.
