After more than four years personally fighting terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, and many more years traveling and living in Muslim countries to include Iran, I know the only deterrent for radical Islam is liberally and pervasively applied over-whelming deadly force.
In Iraq and Afghanistan, as the director for the counter Improvised Explosive Device capability, training and support of their police and armies fightingAl-Qaida and the Taliban, my joint forces team and Ioften seized, captured, exploited large numbers of sites of explosive attacks of IEDs and, in particular explosively formed projectile IEDs. Those weapons and explosives were provided and clearly marked as produced by Iran.
Biden and Obama have for years placated the Muslim world with money, apologies, inept diplomacy,ineffective occasional sanctions and in the case of the disaster in our defeat inAfghanistan led by our State Department abject failure aided by our complacent,complicitous and abjectly incompentent DoD precipitated the international disasters attacks and wars throughout the middle east as well as in Ukraine.
Here is what should be done quickly and thoroughly when the Houthis attacked our and allied shipping, Iran continued to support and use the military capabilities ofHezbollah, Hamasand ISIS-K. These attacks includedthe 7 Oct 23 slaughter of innocent Israelis, the attacks on US and free world shipping and now the current,thwarted direct air attacks on Israel, as well as a long list of historic Muslim atrocities and crimes against the west in large part financed and supported by Iran:

At this time, all effort should be made to only specifically target Iranian military and governmental targets while minimizing civilian casualties. This will, for the initial actions, minimize civilian casualties and international negative reactions. Simultaneously Iran should be told that such attacks wouldcategoricallyaccelerate, expand and be selectively less constrainedin the immediate future if Iran or any possible supporting counties retaliate.
These necessary and comprehensive actions will so severely neutralize Iranian military and governmentalcapability they will be unable to continue or expand a wider war. Iran spokesmen on Sunday stated that Iran, with the thwarted attack the previous night on Israel, considers the current issue with Israel resolved. What that statement really means that Iran failed in their significant attempt to attack Israel. That statement also indicates that Iran expended the major portion, if not all, their drone, cruise missile, tactical and strategic missile arsenal and have little else at this time to use against Israel.
The Arab states as well as China and Russia will not actively support or join Iran in any meaningful way to wage war. There is nothing for China and Russia to gain. The cost for them would be far too severe vs. the return on investment. Remember Russia in particular is being bled dry in manpower and funding by the stalemated war in Ukraine.
Remember also, all Arab nations adamantly refused to accept Palestinian refugees following the Israeli kinetic response to 7 Oct 23. The Arabs know the disfunctions, tribal fragmentationand other historicproblems of the Palestinians and want no part of them.Additionally, the Sunni Arabs and most other Muslimsdetest the predominately Shia Iranians.
Decisive and inclusive miliary action against Iran and their allied radical Muslim surrogates would not just serve to put an end to the current Iranian direct and indirect belligerence and much of the current Muslim aggression in the Middle East, but also serve to put those forces of evil on notice regarding attacks on Europe and the U.S.
Such attacks on western infidels, particularly the USA are, without doubt in preparation, planning and logistical support by Iran, Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, ISAS-K, etc., supporting training, and providing the manyillegal, unvetted military-age Muslims being allowed into our country by the tens of thousands by the direct intent and/or inept actions at the direction of the Biden administration DHS, Border Patrol and DOJ.

Such a response and actions I have outlined herebased on reality would require resolve, courage, competent military planning and coordination as well as the intelligent application of force. Such actions arebeyond the abilities of Biden and the Democrats to understand the necessities, processes, operationalconstructs, the abject limits of diplomatic exigencies with recalcitrant Muslims and most of all, the courage to act responsibly. Biden and those operating him will continue to dither away while the situation in the Middle East will continue to deteriorate precipitously until January 2025 and our critically essential change of leadership in Washington, D.C.
