If the past few weeks are any indication, one thing is crystal clear: the Democrat Party is intent on fundamentally transforming the United States of America. Their radical legislative wish list includes federalizing our elections, dismantling the Electoral College, and making D.C. and Puerto Rico a state. These are just a few of the far-Left agenda items that Congressional Democrats have sponsored as of this writing.
If these bills become law – or if they are forced through by Executive Order - the one and only safeguard for the American people will be the Supreme Court of the United States. The nation’s highest court still retains its power to strike down unconstitutional, radical laws – but now, that power hangs in the balance.
Court packing has become the absolute top priority and singular focus for the Democrat Party – and it is undoubtedly the most sinister effort the Left has undertaken to date.
With the appointment of Amy Coney Barrett to the Court late last year, President Trump handily secured a 6-3 conservative majority on the bench. Resisting defeat, the Left immediately launched a panicked effort to add additional seats to the Supreme Court – arguing that court packing was a vital necessity.
For all their theatrics, the Democrats are not worried about creating a more intellectually diverse Court, and they certainly don’t want a bipartisan bench. The truth is, they want to supersede the conservative majority on the Court through new appointments – creating a united government in which they can force through their radical, socialist agenda and hold absolute power over the American people.
So, what’s at stake if the Democrats pack the Court?

In short, everything.
It’s not just the high-profile social issues – like protections against unrestrained abortion access or protections for our Second Amendment rights – that will be on the chopping block. Our fundamental liberties and the nature of our free-market democracy will be under attack too. This term alone, the Court must decide whether socialized medicine in the form of the individual mandate will take a stranglehold over American healthcare (California v. Texas), whether a high school has control over students’ online, off-campus speech (Mahanoy Area School District v. B.L.), and whether California Governor Gavin Newsom’s overreaching COVID-19 lockdown measures, which apply to churches but not to him, violate the right to worship (Tandon v. Newsom). The Court also regularly reviews cases on immigration and asylum – which have dramatic implications on our public safety, welfare services, and elections.
In the throes of oral argument, it might be lost just how consequential the Supreme Court’s intervention is. Just ask the religious baker who was sued by a gay couple after he refused to make them a cake (Masterpiece Cakeshop vs. Colorado Civil Rights Commission). Without a conservative Supreme Court, businesspeople like him – operating within the parameters of their own moral conscience – would have been conscripted, one-by-one, into service by the radical left at the risk of losing their jobs and livelihoods.
Court packing isn’t just some far-off dystopian future, either.
The political will is present – from the highest levels of the Biden Administration to the lowliest denizens of the liberal mob. Top law schools are already on board. Twitter is on board. All that’s left is the White House - and President Biden recently announced that he has started a commission to explore the topic.
And the Democrats have the instruments of power to do it. From the media to big tech to corporate America, there is nothing that can’t be done politically when the mob wills them to acquiesce. Look no further than recent weeks – when a gross mischaracterization of the Georgia election reform bill from the liberal media, echoed and promoted by social media giants, led to Major League Baseball’s all-star game moving from Georgia to Colorado. The woke mob’s cancel efforts cost Georgia taxpayers over $100 million in revenue. And we all remember the 2020 election that was characterized by social media companies coordinating to silence damaging stories about President Biden and his family, promoting information they knew could move conservative voters left, disappearing conservative accounts, and admitting to propagating the Coronavirus for electorally advantageous means.
Republicans need to come together, set aside differences, and hold the line – or our country will never be the same.
The Democrats gaslit voters into believing that Donald Trump was an “existential” threat to our constitutional norms—only to now pull the wool over our eyes while they attempt to circumvent the will of the American people by reshaping and altering our very foundations of government. Our united resolve in a fair, balanced, impartial judicial branch of government is the only thing preventing them from remaking the Supreme Court and thus remaking our country—and we cannot let it happen.
