Is there enough time to do everything that needs to be done?
When the left “marched through the institutions” over four decades, they planned for two situations. The first had them ascendant, in which case they could push their plans in all areas of American life. The second case was for defense: if someone like Donald Trump was in charge, the goal was to run interference. From district judges with wives on NGO payrolls to intransigent bureaucrats, from a Congress with too small a majority to the media and Hollywood, the job would be to prevent Trump from uprooting their efforts at moving the US towards a left-wing/socialist state. They call Trump Hitler, but his tax cuts, strong military, and pro-US programs could have come from John Kennedy.
Donald Trump was very clear about his plans for a second term on the campaign trail. He described his priorities and what he hoped to accomplish at rallies and in interviews. His victory shows that many Americans buy into his goals. He won all of the “swing states”, his percentage of every voting bloc increased, and he won both the popular vote and the electoral college handily.
The Democrats are trying to ride out Trump. They are doing everything they can to prevent his plans for deporting illegal aliens, getting guys out of women’s sports, and rooting out wasteful spending, which they use for their international NGO army. They hope to get to 2026 to get part of the Congress back to stop all legislative progress and then go for the White House in 2028 to continue the work of Obama, Biden, and their comrades.
All of the Trump administration's goals require other parties to succeed. There is no question that the Trump administration has reduced border crossing levels to the lowest ever recorded. One should remember that the initial tariff threats specifically against Mexico and Canada were partly intended to get those countries to play larger roles in reducing the entry of people and drugs into the United States. And both countries increased their military presence on their respective borders. Closing the border at a mere 100 days of the new administration can be considered a great success.

Now let’s talk about throwing out at least 10 million illegal immigrants let into the country under Biden, as well as probably the same number and more from previous decades. Thomas Homan and ICE have been aggressive in catching and preparing for the removal of undocumented immigrants from throughout the US. However, the district courts have made such removals almost impossible several times. Whereas millions were let in without any legal action, some judges demand that each illegal alien be given the American right to due process. As Homan admits, such an arrangement would make the process of ejecting these people take forever. While some cities and states have worked against ICE, the biggest challenge would appear to be court rulings that all but stop the rapid one-way removal of people who entered the country illegally.
The issue of district courts putting the brakes on the Trump plans approved by the American public includes many subjects, including federal voting. A district judge has just scotched the executive order requiring proof of citizenship. At what point can the executive branch fulfill its mission, especially as it is identical to what was promised to the voting public? The White House could ignore the courts, but that would set a very dangerous precedent (one already set by Joe Biden, who forgave student loans—and even said that he was acting against the specific ruling of the Supreme Court) in which courts would no longer play any role in American politics. Sure, Billy and Bob would still need to go to court to figure out who has to pay for the car damage, but courts telling the president or specific executive offices what to do would become exercises in screaming at the wind. That would be a perilous development. But isn’t shopping cases for the right jurisdiction and limiting the power of the president via a district court also dangerous to the Republic?
Moving on to DOGE, there has been resistance not only from the courts but also from members of Congress as well as NGOs and others who are losing out on money they have received for work that often goes against the US itself. Elon Musk and his people can identify waste and fraud, but removal from the budget also requires the participation of the affected departments. Some offices changed their DEI program names to skirt a very clear executive order on the matter. What happens when bureaucrats won’t play ball, or base commanders show insubordination towards the president and his secretary of defense? Getting rid of a woke colonel is easier than ferreting out thousands of federal employees who will not follow a legal executive order.
What if Donald Trump either cannot do all he promised in two years before the midterms or four years before the next presidential election? The best solution obviously would be to get larger Republican majorities in both houses of Congress so as to convert executive orders such as no guys in women's sports into full-fledged American law. What if there is too much to do but not enough time to do it? What if the negative effects of district courts, blue state officials, members of Congress, and the press make success all but impossible? Is there a need for a Plan B or should the administration simply barrel ahead and expect it to get past the resistance in the time allotted and hopefully have a Republican president for many years after Trump?
As Tom Homan noted, much of what Biden and his puppet masters did was create nearly irreversible conditions. Bring in 10 million people in 4 years and see if the next guy can get rid of a fraction of them in the following four years. Billions of dollars have been flowing to parties inside and outside of the US to work on issues such as restricting free speech and working against pro-US populist candidates. Does DOGE have enough time to find all of the waste, fraud, and double-dealing in the federal budget? Can the military get up to speed before China makes a move on Taiwan? Will the tariff war end soon enough that people will see their favorite goods in stores and their stocks going up again?
Donald Trump chose the right fights for a better future for America. He has also selected tough, serious and dedicated secretaries to push forth his agenda. As they say, if you are getting flak, then you are over the target. Every organ of the left, from the Democratic Party to the supposedly politically-neutral federal workers and district judges and the press are doing everything they can to prevent his success. For a better future, America needs Donald Trump to succeed.
